That was a pretty good episode. I thought a skynet dream machine could have been cool. I am glad that lady got burnt up for smoking cigarrettes in bed. No fate but what we make.Does anyone know what the coyote symbology was? Perhaps that dreams cross over into reality? I found this on a totally random website: Coyote: To see a coyote in your dream, denotes weakness and deception Also another site said it was the trickster and represented the unexpected. So Cameron really didn't walk in front of John dressed this way? DARN! I need screens of that . I don't know what the coyote means per se, but it was a pretty tight way to tie the two worlds together. And funny that it didn't even mean what Sarah thought it meant. |

No, but obviously it's a concern of Sarah's, just like in Mr Ferguson, when she said "I don't like the way he responds to you." ------- Okay, so the "emergency c-section scar"... WTF? Does Sarah have another kid that's safely tucked away somewhere?! She'd told Kacey John was born in a jungle and you don't get emergency c-sections in a jungle with a bottle of dark rum. Of course, that could have been a lie, but why make up such a bizarre lie? Telling someone you had your kid in the jungle is only going to lead to questions. So if Sarah was going to lie to Kacey about how John was born, she would've said something boring and normal. There's something up with this c-section scar. |

I'm going to say NO to that one.
There's nothing about having John in the jungle that precludes a c-section... I'm thinking the Caesarian scar was dictated by a need to have Winston jump from Sarah mentioning Winston's story about Little League to Sarah having a son of her own.

I was really unsure about this episode. I was confused some of the way through, unsure of what scenes were reality or not, and then it got to the end and BAM! Wow, what a great episode overall. A slow build up that totally and completely paid off.
I love how all the strange John/Cameron scenes all turned out to be Sarah's insecurities playing themselves out in front of us. From Cameron supplanting Sarah's pancake skills to the return of the risque strut from way back in early season 1.
And the voice overs for this episode was amazingly good.
As for the C-Section, as I told k8ie, I think the reason why that may be different than the story that's been given previously is that Sarah has told so many lies and lived behind so many false personas that the truth is only told by the scars on her body, much like what was hinted at in the Good Wound. Remember, the first version of the story she told Kacy was a fabrication. Why couldn't the second one be?
Overally, I thought it was great.

So, an hour before the episode started a made a joke post on the wiki.
"Wow, what an episode. I can't believe Cameron said that about Sarah. No wonder she's going to become a liability. And, Skynet scanning images of Sarah's brain? Woah...never saw that coming."
OMG, I'm like Nostradamus. lol
Definitely, going to watch this episode again.
The C-section comment is interesting. I wonder if she had a mis-carriage, and never told anyone about it?

Clearly the formula for TSCC success is Sarah+angst for the girls Cameron+bra for the boys.  Yeah, I like that idea Cy - it ties into Gnothi Seauton as well. Sarah's talked about not knowing who she is, particularly since coming forward in time. A Caesarian scar plays with that idea that words can lie, your heart can lie, even your mind can deceive you - as Sarah has cause to know - but there are certain truths that are etched in your flesh and by extension into your soul. I think like most of Sarah's stories, it could be elements of truth and fiction swirled together. Sarah was in South American when John was born and she likely didn't make it to a town... minus the chicken bus, the rest could be true. Sarah's affect certainly made it appear like she was telling the truth. However, I always thought it was weird Sarah would need/want to drink alcohol during labour. Getting the girl thoroughly soused before a c-section on the other hand makes more sense. I find AG's theory so utterly appalling, that I will need THERAPY if it turns out to be correct. And, guessing by the ending VO - Sarah's resolved her lingering identity crisis. And, uh, Skynet should watch its butt. Here's a weird thing... Winston thought she blew up the factory... |

I've only watched this episode once, so it might be a little soon for me to start spinning wacky theories, but I'm going for it anyway. I think that C-section scar is a very big deal. I think the birth story Sarah told Kacey in Allison from Palmdale was true. John really was born in the jungle - natural child birth with a bottle of rum. And that means the emergency c-section is from another child. And I think it's a daughter that Sarah gave up so that she could devote 100% of herself to John (and also so the daughter could live a normal life).
We had the parental rights story last season. All the baby references this season. The trouble with Cameron ("I don't want to talk about her" at the shrink's office - because Cameron is a constant reminder to her of the daughter she gave up). And let's not forget what Ellison said about John in the pilot episode... "Luke Skywalker type". And what did Luke Skywalker have? A sister! And I think this unknown daughter is also very important to the resistance and Cameron's real mission is to find out about her.
