Probably inevitable considering that there's only so much they can do with the character after the FBI shoot-out. It'll be a shame if Garret Dillahunt leaves the show as he and Richard T. Jones have both lent TSCC a level of gravitas that the rest of the cast lack.

Hmmm...no hint of Sarah. She's probably off out of frame somewhere, but still...is it possible that my dreams of a Derek/Cameron roadtrip to Mexico to haul John's butt out of trouble have been realized? Is God really that kind?

Nothing about the actor, it's just the character seems to have gone as far as he can. I mean, if he survives this shootout it's two things happening here... 1) Cromartie failed AGAIN in killing John Connor and c'mon, it gets boring when the same Terminator keeps attempting and failing at his mission.. and 2) that means the Connors failed AGAIN in finishing off Cromartie. John and Derek finished off that Terminator pretty well in Goodbye, Cameron (with Sarah's help) offed the Greenway terminator pretty easily in Automatic and Cameron took out the terminator in The Tower pretty easily. Why is Cromartie so damn indestructible? Cromartie's story has been interesting but I really really think it's his time to go. At least I hope so.

Hmm, "search for John" sounds to me like John ran off to Mexico or took off while the Connors were there.. but why Mexico in the first place? @_@;; And, why would Riley be there.. 0.o Does this mean she's in on everything now too? I really kinda hope not, I like team Connor right now.. I don't think we need to add anymore main players... *shrugs* Yeah I'm one of the few who actually liked Riley when she first showed up, but I really don't want her in on the family business. I can't imagine any scenario where that's going to feel right, especially given how short a time he's known her... JOHN: I forgot to tell you that my uncle is a soldier from the future, my father was too. My sister is a robot and there are other robots trying to kill me. We carry lots of guns and explosives, live under assumed names and pretty much everyone we get involved with ends up dead. By the way, the world ends in 4 years. Wanna help us stop it?RILEY: Cool. I'm in. Can I carry a shotgun too?RILEY: Dude, you're a freak. I'm so outta here.

Garret Dillahunt's been great, but I think he'll be a goner soon. I don't think he's been invincible, the Connors just haven't had a showdown with him. But they're going to have to soon because it won't be believable for him to be wandering the streets looking for John Connor forever without success. Hmm, now I think I know what might be going on with this John and Riley business. Ep 7 has Cromartie talking to Jody, finding out John's alias and then showing up at Kacy's house (who I assume directs him to the Baum house). I'll bet John's home alone with Riley when Cromartie comes-a-knockin, so they hit the road in a hurry to escape (so Riley probably gets clued in to everything just because she's with John when Cromartie shows up). Then we get Cameron and Derek (and I certainly hope Sarah too — she should be leading the charge to find John) in ep 8, trying to track down John. Not quite sure how Ellison gets into the mix but I'd imagine it has something to do with him tracking Cromartie, who's tracking John. Anyway, that's my theory.

The title of the episode suggests that Cromartie is going to the big scrape heap in the sky.

Wow... Mexico... and durring their Day of the Dead festival. Now that isn't coincidence, is it? Goes well with the title theme, and the foreshadowing of one of the characters dying... Day of the Dead in Mexico is a religeous type of holiday where the families remember their loved ones, and throw a lively festival in their honor. Heres the wiki entry on it: Wiki: Day of the DeadNow that makes me wonder, why would the Connors be heading to Mexico for? Riley's oddball suggestion to John to go with her there? Sarah's likely got some connections there.

I could see it happen, it would certainly make sense that Riley would get involved in this way. At first she may not know exactly what is going on, only that John is running from a hit man. I don't think John would attempt to talk about killer robots and judgment day before she has actually seen one of them (be it Chromartie or Cameron) in action, in a way that makes it clear they are not quite homo sapiens. Where did those picture descriptions come from, by the way? And they also seem to point at there being another picture of Cameron alone ("Cameron looking for John in Mexico"), besides the one with her and Derek.

Those are some of the nicer promo photos I've seen. The one of Derek and Cameron is particularly good. In the episode, as they get out of the vehicle, there's a great push in where the camera lands right on Brian's ice-blue eyes. It's very bada**.

I think poor Cromartie is going down in a blaze of glory in this one. I'm inclined to agree. When he is standing inside the church shooting his guns, his pose is very "Jesus on the cross" like. I'm thinking he's the one being sacrificed this season. I'm gonna miss Cromartie if he's the one who dies. There's still hope that Cromartie might be ok. The Virgin 1 spoiler pic indicates that he does get buried somehow. But, the Behind the Scenes said the FX shop made the dummy for a scene where he's uncovered. He may reboot and be fine, or maybe Weaver restarts him and he gets reprogrammed to help her. There's all sorts of ways to develop the story. Josh Friedman and the other writers usually picks unpredictable approaches that keeps fans guessing.

If it's a Day of the Dead festival, though, that will be a neat trick since "Automatic for the People" ends on 16 November. Then again, this is a show about time-travel....
