At the moment it's The Terminator.
With the original sounds I don't really dig the new sound mix.
Though right now...I'm watching a lot of Vampire films because of the story I'm working on.

Also, because of the way the timeline works The Future War must happen in order for the Terminator to be sent back now. No, I think the timeline only works if you believe the many worlds theory. If you believe in one single timeline the movies couldn't have happened because the instant the first Terminator was sent back there was no John Connor anymore to send Kyle Reese after him. But if you believe in the many worlds theory then everything is possible and everything in fact will happen, just in many different parallel worlds (dimensions).

T1, does it for me. I was too young to be allowed to see it, so I snuck out at night and met up with some mates to see it at a local theatre that didn't ask for ID's. In fact these days it's the only one of the three films that I continue to enjoy watching. The violence compared to T2,T3 & TSCC has a certain edge to it as it's committed against Humans. By the time T2 was released the violence was largely reduced to Bots throwing each other through break-away walls.
Take the scene from T1 where Ginger (Sarah's flatmate) is killed. The site of her crawling along the floor with Arnold standing over the top of her was brilliantly filmed, it's this level of coldness that the later films and TSCC for the most part lack. That one scene alone typifies what it should feel like for somebody to have a Terminator on their ass. The scene is gratuitously manipulative of the fear many woman feel about living in big cities. Despite being at home with her boyfriend (a scenario that should make a woman instinctively feel safe & secure) Ginger still finds herself being killed in cold blood in her own home. By comparison none of the later films or TSCC have ever really captured that sense of dread & helplessness that T1 had.

TERMINATOR 2 is simply amazing! One of the best Action Movies ever, it shocked at it's time with the special effects and it was and still is great in every other aspect!
