Therefore a C-Section out in the middle of the Bolivian jungle somewhere...much much less chance of survival regardless of peoples skill levels just because of location. I figure the survival rates for Bolivian jungle c-sections is right about the same as kitchen-block surgery on sucking chest wounds performed by LA paramedics. A medical documentary this ain't, eh? Technically, an "emergency c-section" is any unplanned Caesarean. A "crash section" is performed when there's an imminent threat fetal or maternal death. In this case I understand docs use a lateral incision, made from the belly button to the pubis, to get at the fetus as fast as possible as opposed to a longitudinal incision above the pubis - an layman probably wouldn't distinguish terminology but the different incisions are noticeable. That all said, I'm pretty sure that the story that must have been in Natalie and Denise's mind when they came up with that bit of information (as well as a way for Winston to discover, with certainty, that Sarah had a child) is this one from 2004: How more Sarah Connor can you get?

You.
I'm still not talking about you. I can't watch Stephanie Jacobsen get interviewed without wondering if her hair looks like Sarah's. *urgh*
Have I mentioned how much I love the coyote metaphor (and also because there's one eating chihauhaus in our neighbourhood right now) - Sarah Connor and family as feral creatures, living among us but not part of us. Hunters and scavengers (also, tattoed guy watching Sarah's back as she sleeps? I'd argue Derek Reese made a heavily metaphorical appearance in Sarah's dreams, like Sarah can't even admit to herself subconsciously that she may need Derek's help).

You and me, we're fraking done professionally. ;D How more Sarah Connor can you get? Great article! Very Sarah indeed. I was thinking more about this emergency c-section in terms of the Good Wound... DOCTOR: Women have higher pain thresholds than men, especially women who've been through child birth. SARAH: This gonna be like that? And then the doctor cuts into her leg. So yeah, I think it's quite likely, given that little exchange, that we're meant to believe that Sarah had an emergency c-section at some makeshift doctor's office in some small village in a jungle in Central America when she had John. But I'm still not going to close the door on my wacky theory because it's brought me such great fun!

You mention it one more f------ time and I ain't walking on this board if you're still hired. ;D Lena Headey pulled up the most entirely appalled expression for that scene. It's even better if you add the context that she's thinking about exactly how much it's going to hurt when the doc cuts into her leg...

So, it's apparent that Sarah thinks John and Cameron have something going on (the scene of naked!Cameron walking by John) and the fact that Cameron makes some sort of great pancakes for John. I wonder what's so great about those pancakes...

That's how I saw it too (the Derek thing, as well). I'm still kinda mulling this episode over in my head - coyotes, the Connors, coyotes, terminators... Tricksters, aren't they all? Anyway, loved this episode. SO happy the clinic stuff was a dream, which I kinda suspected it would be. Just didn't make much sense otherwise. And this whole "other child" theory with Sarah is...well...I'll leave it to Dr. Cox: That said, you may continue. It's making me laugh way too much. ;D

If we start debating whether John was breastfed, then I'll have to call TMI. Wasn't the Cameron undies scene a reuse of the footage from S1E02? It looked pretty close, but I haven't gone back to check. The DVD commentary said they shot it twice. The first set of undies wasn't quite eye catching enough. Josh and them may have needed an eye exam. I think Summer would look good in almost any lingerie and she's not even my type.

HC wrote: I refer you to Doctor Cox, above. ;D Sarah tells Cameron in "Mr. Ferguson" that she doesn't like how John reacts to here. Sarah is clearly still very troubled by John's behaviour when he stopped them from destroying Cameron in S&D. At the same time, you have a point, insofar as Sarah's concern seems to be that John is attracted to Cameron and can't distinguish between a real girl and the killer underneath. It's worth noting that Sarah's the only one who's witnessed Cameron executing humans. She can't forget what's underneath and John's affinity for the machine scares her. I have my own theory as to why John saves Cameron but that's OT here.

So, it's apparent that Sarah thinks John and Cameron have something going on I don't think Sarah actually thinks there's something going on, but she is certainly worried about how John is affected by Cameron (or Cameron's influence over John). OMG. And now I'm wondering if it's possible that Jesse and Sarah could actually end up on the same side of things. Could it be that Jesse isn't evil?!

Way back in the day didn't Stephanie say that she thought Jesse looked up to Sarah or something? I think she also said that wasn't really based on anything or what anyone told her though, just her feeling about the character. I remember liking that idea though. It'd be kinda nice to see a resistance fighter besides Kyle that adored and looked up to John and Sarah.
