Bruuuuuuucccccceeeeeeee
In the day we sweat it out on the streets of a runaway American dream At night we ride through the mansions of glory in suicide machines Sprung from cages out on highway 9, Chrome wheeled, fuel injected, and steppin' out over the line h-Oh, Baby this town rips the bones from your back It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap We gotta get out while we're young `Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
yes, girl we were
Wendy let me in I wanna be your friend I want to guard your dreams and visions Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims and strap your hands 'cross my engines Together we could break this trap We'll run till we drop, baby we'll never go back h-Oh, Will you walk with me out on the wire `Cause baby I'm just a scared and lonely rider But I gotta know how it feels I want to know if love is wild Babe I want to know if love is real
Oh, can you show me
Beyond the Palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard Girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors And the boys try to look so hard The amusement park rises bold and stark Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist I wanna die with you Wendy on the street tonight In an everlasting kiss
1-2-3-4!
The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide Together Wendy we can live with the sadness I'll love you with all the madness in my soul h-Oh, Someday girl I don't know when we're gonna get to that place Where we really wanna go and we'll walk in the sun But till then tramps like us baby we were born to run
Oh honey, tramps like us baby we were born to run
Come on with me, tramps like us baby we were born to run
Ru-uh-uh-un Mm-mm-mm-mm Uh-uh-uh-oh-oh-oh-oh Ru-uh-uh-uh-un Mm-mm-mm-mm Whoa-oh-oh-oh Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh Ru-uh-uh-un

Josh & Co's attention to detail - specifically in naming the eps, has helped make the series.
And then to throw out another Bruce tune reference - and something so flat out awesome as Born to Run - uber cool.
The amusement park rises bold and stark Kids are huddled on the beach in the mist I wanna die with you Wendy on the street tonight In an everlasting kiss
HUH!
Don't forget the grunt!
This might have been one of the first phrases of music I commited to memory.
If Josh works the tune into the show, I'll freak.
This is going to be a powerhouse episode. I just feel it.

We might get some Shirley Manson singing again. The saison started with her. It might be nice to have it end with her.

Eh, I am a huge fan of Garbage's first three releases and I think Shirley has a terrific voice, but I wasn't feeling that "Samson and Delilah" song. I think they should go a different route, but that's just my opinion. I still wish we'd get some metal music. Edit: Am I the only one who feels "Born to Run" by Bruce Springteen seems like it would be a series closer? Seriously, listening to that song I could see Sarah and John and fleeing in a car in the desert while the show closes.

But please make a minor correction to your vision: John is fleeing alone! He is losing his three girls according to the Dekker tapes, which seem to be true. We might also get to see lonely Sarah and lonely Cameron. It may all break apart. I don't know what to do with Derek.

I think this episode will feel like it could very naturally close the series IF it has to.

I think this episode will feel like it could very naturally close the series IF it has to. I bet there'll be a cliff hanger that makes our brains 'splode. That's what I'd do. Cause a riot. Wouldn't you if you had that kinda power?

I bet there'll be a cliff hanger that makes our brains 'splode. That's what I'd do. Cause a riot. Wouldn't you if you had that kinda power? Worked brilliantly for Farscape. Season 4 ended on an unbelievable cliffhanger which they kept in even though the show had just been brutally cancelled (complete with 'to be continued'), and the resulting legendary fan rampage/campaign to bring back the show resulted in a concluding 4 hour mini-series. I think this ending might work in the sense of leaving John in a psychological place where we can see how he could then become Future!John, but it'll also leave us begging for more story-wise.

I agree driftlight,
It's got to be both psychological and physical.
It should toss John around like a cat in a dryer.

But of course I am sure they already picked the music by now.

Man, John's mindstate has been getting tore up from the floor up this season. Looks like this finale may be his breaking point. This one sounds like it's going to be monumental.
