LOL! Karma, Ross.
Second best title or not, "What He Beheld" was the first hour of TV in a while to send shivers down my spine.
And I second Erika's desire for s2 promos although I'm not dying for them per se, merely pining.
And I'm now really curious as what "Good-by to All That" is meant to refer to (also, who knew grade 13 English would ever be good for anything ever again)?

Eh I'm bored of the graphics on SCS and want to make a new banner but I don't want to make one w/ old graphics only to have cool NEW photos come out a few weeks later and then want to hassel about redoing everything again.
I want cool new Derek promos!
BTW Kate you get a big fat Karma for that AWESOME news post that you just put up on SCS! Man I'd love it if you did that once a week..or maybe more when we get closer to the season starting up again and we have articles coming out of our ears.

^^ No problemo, Erika. Have Google, will happily avoid work. ;D

My promo photo wishlist is too long to articulate (as if the fact that I have one doesn't already make me a nerd) but I'd like to see more battle-damaged Cameron shots and you just can't accessorize Sarah with a shotgun too many times to make me happy.

Really hoping this season we get more flashbacks/flashforwards from Derek's P.O.V. I remember Josh promising us two episodes last year and we only got one because of the strike.

I hope they get some weapons that can be effective against Terminators. They know that pistols, shotguns, and SMG's are pretty useless aginast Terminators and yet that's all they have. They need to get some better weapons or at least some armor piercing bullets.

I think a Terminator should stay a kind of overwhelming threat. If the Connors suddenly get their hands on a bunch of rpgs it's going to cheapen that whole premise. It's what made the original movies so much fun, that they had no reliable means of stopping their enemy. It really took something special. I hope the show never turns into Terminator of the week being wasted with relative ease.
They should be more careful with the "I know this gun is useless but I'll shoot it anyway" routine. If guns are supposed to have some use then it needs to be showcased a little better IMO.

What I'd really like to see this season is John face some heavy adversity. I want to see more than him just going to school, more than girl problems, more than a Terminator chasing him. I just want to see this guy go through a huge struggle w/ his Mom and even with Cameron. Just something that will toughen him up and show me glimpses of him becoming the future leader that we all know him to be.

If guns are supposed to have some use then it needs to be showcased a little better IMO. But Terminators were never unstoppable. The Terminator in T1 had its arm damaged by a regular shoot gun and it was shot at pretty far away. Reese also blew it in half with a home made pipe bomb. Maybe Sarah should make a couple of those pipe bombs. Plus the show has already reduced the threat of the Terminator. The Connors have their own pet Terminator to fight against the bad ones. At this point, the only reason why they shoot at Terminators is to distract them so Cameron can gain the upper hand. They have been pretty successful in defeating Terminators. Cromartie was almost destroyed in the first episode. Carter is trapped in a bomb shelter. Vick has had his chip taken out and his body incinerated. It's time for us to see a Terminator adapting to a situation where it is threatened. Obviously Terminators have to have some way of dealing of those kinds of threats since the Resistance has plasma weapons in the future. The Connors may not be able to get their hands on anything that can destroy a Terminator in one shot but they should have some weapons that can cause the kind of damage the Terminator received in T1.

What's to say that they aren't already adapting as it is? Skynet continually upgrades throughout the series (movies/books/etc) in order to gain the upperhand with the situation at hand.

A Terminator isn't unstoppable. It's just very, very tough, and the kinds of weapons that can do real damage to them are in 2008 America either difficult to obtain (an antitank rocket), not very concealable (grenade launcher or high caliber armor piercing projectile weapon), or very hard to use accurately against a moving target (a thermite charge). But that doesn't mean you'll always see Sarah and company just plinking away with 9mm pistols...

They need to take a page out of the Roadrunner/Wild E. Coyote handbook and drop anvils out of the sky to land on the Terminators
