I'm working on a new drawing project. It's drawn on A3 paper and is by far the most ambitious project I've ever done. I'm really hoping I won't mess it up The whole piece, early start: Lena with skin-tone and the beginning of Thomas's face: I know the images are totally crapy and really don't do justice to the drawing, but it's too big for my A4 scanner I'll try to come up with better images next time...

Alright I spent my afternoon working some more on it. And i managed to scan it in 2 parts. The characters are done: Now I need to think up a background. Anyone having ideas??? Should I photshop a background, draw it? Color pencils, grey???

Humm I definitely think that photoshopping would likely look out of place.Humm I'm not sure what you should put as the background....Sorry, I'm no help

Well I finally got around to finishing this drawing. It stayed untouched on my desk for almost a month, until I felt like trying to do something with it. I've been thinking hard on an original background. But finally decided against it, 'cause I was afraid it would outshine the characters. So here you go, plain old background. This is my best drawing ever. And also the longest and more complex one... And this is a colored version, done in photoshop. It's the first time I colorized one of my artwork, spent my entire afternoon trying to come up with something half decent. But yeah, I don't regret it... PS: I'm real happy with the way Lena turned out. She looks great. Summer and Thomas are ok. Brian is a bit messed up, but his face was real small and it was real hard to get the details right. Summer's gun was a pain, but it turned out ok (also that was the first time I've ever drawn a gun).

Cristelle that came out great! I love the coloring. That was a really a huge project that you tackled. Back when I used to draw (eons ago) the only way I'd even attempt anything that complicated would be on pads of paper that were 18"x24" - yours must've been significantly smaller to be able to scan it like you did. You should be proud of your first collage - I bet your collages will only get better with practice Karma!

Thanks a lot... It was drawn on A3 paper which is 41x60cm or, I think, 11.7" x 16.5" ? I had to scan it in several part because I only have an A4 scanner

11x16? I'm impressed, I can't draw squat that small to get the details to look that good
