Via www.EW.comQuestion: Any word on the status of Sarah Connor Chronicles? -- Charles Ausiello: I'm a little worried. The ratings for the second episode sucked big time, and if the free fall continues, I honestly don't see how Fox can afford to keep it on the air. Very frustrating. Maybe this exclusive little casting scoopbit will help get those numbers up: Stephanie Jacobsen (Kendra Shaw of BSG: Razor) is joining the cast as a love interest for Derek (Brian Austin Green).

It'll be interesting to see if they have her playing some sort of similar role as Kendra Shaw from BSG Razor. Now there was a character who was carrying even more baggage then Derek Reese, they'd be like two peas in a pod.

I'm not exactly a BSG fan, but the alums seem to be appearing everywhere lately.

If we see Tricia Helfer or Katee Sackhoff, I'm outta here. Though Edward Olmos wouldn't be unwelcome... j/k

Now there was a character who was carrying even more baggage then Derek Reese, they'd be like two peas in a pod. How exactly did she play out? I'm not exactly a BSG fan, but the alums seem to be appearing everywhere lately. A quick synopsis with a few spoilers. Razor is primarily about the back story of the Battlestar Pegasus that was introduced in the third series of BSG. You meet Kendra Shaw as she transfers aboard the Pegasus as a junior officer literally moments before the Cylon attack. After a series of events Shaw finds herself not only promoted but she becomes a protégé of Admiral Cain. As a result Shaw is implicit in a series of events that include the murder of civilians when the Pegasus cannibalizes a civilian fleet for parts and key personnel leaving the civilians to fend for themselves. While a lot of the writing in Razor is a little clunky and not really up with some of the better BSG episodes they did get one thing correct I feel. Too often in Hollywood characters like Kendra Shaw and for that matter Derek Reese become stories of moral redemption. With Razor despite it's many faults it never goes down that path. Shaw is clearly racked with guilt over the morally reprehensible things she's done, so much so that she uses drugs as an escape. However she never looks for forgiveness even if the final scene, an act of self sacrifice could be interpreted that way. Rather in that final scene where she's with the Cylon Hybrid she taunts it before blowing the ship, there by accepting her lot in life - as a soldier that has become so morally corrupted she can no longer live in a civilised society. By taking ultimate control over her fate she removes the need for human society to punish her for past actions and thereby sharing her guilt. The parallels between Kendra Shaw and Derek Reese seem fairly obvious. Psychiatrists would undoubtedly say that both are suffering from PTSD. Secondly both characters have seemed to come to some sort of acceptance of their emotional state. Granted in TSCC the writers have not really gone into any real depth as to what really broke Derek. Hopefully we will because along with Cameron Derek strikes me as the most interesting character. EDIT: Pegasus was introduced in the second season not the third, my bad.

Not including reruns of the old BSG.

Kendra's Asian and did a very convincing job being tough and emotionally damaged in RAZOR. I think she'll be a good fit for the show.

Because if there's one thing all the characters on TSCC share, it's toughness and emotional damage. Even the robots.

Cromartie might be the only character on the show who has been happy the entire time.

As long as the ratings heal a bit I'll be happy...on the plus side that preview of Knight Rider of the entire 1st episode went over like a 1/4th baked turd.
I still think Monday at 8 PM was a bad bad time to put the show.
Because the episodes thus far are fantastic...but surely Fox thought about MNF.

I'm interested to see how things play out with Derek and this new girl. Wonder how Sarah will take to her? Especially considering she has no one right now. John has Riley (kind of), Derek will have this girly, maybe Charlie and Sarah again?
I'd prefer to see Derek and John getting closer, but that still might work out despite this new character addition.

I really want more Derek/John bonding, any scene they are in together melts my heart. They both may find romantic love but they're each other's only blood kin left in the world. I want to see more of that, desperately. I may quit the show (or move to massive fast-forwarding it) if Michelle dies and Sarah/Charley hook up like they're OTP or something. The thought makes me nauseated. But then I don't see the point of Charley past the introduction of Derek. I just googled her and she's really smokin'. Me too and she is gorgeous! I was not liking the idea of a love interest for Derek (if I ship anyone alive it's Sarah/Derek) but she could be one fabulous character and she seems to have the acting chops and looks to pull it off.
