Discuss the relationship here.

I really hope memories of Kyle come into the picture later (from Sarah's POV) I feel he's getting a little... ignored if you could call it that. I hope that they don't try to sell us Sarah/Charley as the big love story here because, NO, NO, NO! I know she loves Charley and everything but Kyle/Sarah is THE ship for me... maybe there are restrictions with his character like there were with Lois Lane in Smallville (with the upcoming Terminator: Salvation and all) but there has to be a little room for Kyle Reese, even if it is The SARAH CONNOR Chronicles.

At this point at least their not ignoring him. I mean we've seen him physically. It would be interesting if we got a few flashbacks into their night together, even if we have to watch a PG-13 version.

Yes, flashbacks would be nice.
Also Sarah telling John more about his father, it felt like it was some sort of Taboo to talk about him in T2 (with Sarah crying quietly and John knowing it was because she missed him) I hope Kyle gets the respect and honor he deserves, though.

I think they'll have to come to a point, where their going to have to bring him up again. Or John could end up being the one to lecture Derek about his brother.
I got to thinking about it and Sarah's very likely to have drilled his father's history into his mind all things considered. Just like the rules, that she's hammered in. Kyle's what John can become if he fights hard enough and expand from there to become the future leader, we all know from the movies.

Ummm, that could be plausible. Since Sarah (at the end of T1) sees John as the last thing Kyle left her, and "while we only were together a couple of hours, we loved each other for a lifetime" (I'm paraphrasing, I know I got that one wrong) so yes, I think John grew up hearing stories of his dad. As John tells Cameron in the Pilot, his dad's a complete stranger to him, and to Sarah a bit, I mean it's almost like Kyle loved her from afar for all the time he had that picture, they loved eachother for one day, and now Sarah loves him without him being there. It's almost like the roles were reversed.
Did that make any sense? LOL

Yeah, it did.
Ironically at the Wonder Con, Josh originally lobbied for Kyle to return, but certain sources wouldn't allow it. Thus we have Derek.

I think like most the producers thought that it would cause issues with continuity and T4 adds to the dileema. Even though these stories are in completely different universes.

It would be really nice to have flashbacks of Sarah and Reese together. It doesn't have to be THAT scene. It could just be them hiding out together or something. You know what I'd really love. *snicker* I have to laugh at myself... I'm so corny. I'd love some kind of timey wimey wibbly wobbly Ladyhawke moment. Do you know what I mean? Where Sarah and Kyle can see each other and they almost touch but then WHAM the hole in time closes up. *goes off into a daydream* www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8P5NVQrwGgLOL!

It would have to be so perfect or it would be a disaster. I can't imagine any way of doing it that would be okay other than a dream sequence, though.

I'm betting on the old SLIDERS plot device personally. The alternate Kyle Resse from a different timeline. I know it sounds like a sort of cop out, but it doesn't have to screw with the timeline that we already know and it's give them a get out jail free card in the long run unless Sarah keeps him in our reality.

For me, it's a huge copout. Kyle from an alternate reality isn't Sarah's Kyle, isn't our Kyle. Isn't the one she loves or we love. They aren't interchangeable. I really, really hate it when you have a movie with the parallel world thing going on and the love interest dies only for the hero to hook up with an alternate her in the end. They aren't the same. I just really don't like that.

Well, I could settle for a dream sequence.
