I am still holding my official happy dance for the official announcement but, damn, I think this deserves an unofficial shimmy or its own.

I can't officially comment until Fox or Warner Brothers say something, but expect some kind of an announcement very, very soon.

Good to hear Zack - I refuse to report what Ausiello says - even though it looks like he finally did more than just ask his "House" sources this go around for scoop. Glad to know he had to do some real investigating for once

Its now in The Hollywood Reporter. Does that count as official? www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3icfe13ead83e2831b75bae45ceb5ff4dfFox gives 'Terminator' second season By Nellie Andreeva April 21, 2008 She'll be back. Fox has picked up "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" for a second season. The network on Monday handed a 13-episode order to the sci-fi drama, an extension of the "Terminator" feature franchise that centers on Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) and her son, John (Thomas Dekker), as they battle enemies from the future with the help of a goodhearted terminator, Cameron (Summer Glau). "Terminator," from Warner Bros. TV, which launched in January, is the highest-rated new scripted series this season among adults 18-49 with an average of 4.4 rating/10 share. It drew an average of 10.5 million total viewers. And Variety as well www.variety.com/article/VR1117984353.html?categoryId=14&cs=1'Sarah Connor' gets second season Fox renews sci-fi show for another year By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER Fox has greenlit a second season of the franchise series, picking up 13 episodes for next season. Move wasn't a surprise; Fox has been developing potential companion series to the sci-fi hour-long, and in meetings with advertisers have discussed several potential scheduling scenarios that include the show. Pickup was also a no-brainer, as "Sarah Connor" reps one of the year's most successful frosh entries - averaging a 4.4 rating and 10 share among adults 18-49, as well as 10.5 million viewers overall. Series, a spin-off of the successful "Terminator" film franchise, revolves around a woman and her son battling futuristic robots. Lena Headey stars as Sarah Connor, while Thomas Dekker plays her son, John. Richard T. Jones stars as FBI aent James Ellison, while Summer Glau plays Cameron. Warner Bros. TV is behind "Sarah Connor," which is exec produced by Josh Friedman and John Wirth.

Tonight I shall party like it's 1999! Shouldn't that be 2011? I'm just glad I can stop worrying about whether or not the show would be renewed. Instead I can worry about Fox demanding that the show be dumbed down to try and reach a wider audience as the it didn't get spectacular ratings in the first season.

You know the very fact that everything so beautifully wove together at the end of the season is why people have been bouncing up and down demanding a season 2. I know Josh, he won't dummy it down. Now if we have to see Derek shirtless more often or Lena and Cameron in tank tops...he might be willing to make his characters show some more skin to help to increase ratings
