Personally I vote for T2, Sarah Connor became one of my most prominent role models in that film. I do love T1, but... T2 gets my vote, maybe because I saw it first... I don't know.

I had to vote for my Fave and that would be The Original.
Nothing can ever be like it.
It told its story with a minimum of dialouge and on the run constantly. It also gave us creative minds alot to tinker around with...unlike T2...which basically tried to tell us everything.

I love them both but I had to pick T2 only because I couldn't pick both.
Plus I was 3 when the first was released and 10 when the 2nd came out.

I must say it's T2 for me I got pull into the world of it all with the second one. I wasn't even born when the first film came out and I was 3 when the second one came out. I ended up seeing it when I was 6-8 don't really remember. I love those kind of movies in a real young age. I think this is one of the first Sci-fi movies I saw that pulled me into the whole Sci fi world.

I think this poll will probably divide according to age and which you saw first. Although T2 is awesome, T1 is really what it's all about. No cute lines, NO KID ACTORS, and full on violence. I have T2 on DVD, and just picked up T1. Although I've seen T1 a million times on TV, the un-cut version reminded me of just how bad a$$ this movie was. I still get spooked when the Terminator is coming toward the door in the factory! Nothing that scary in T2. The special effects are not what you'd see today, but they were great in 1984, so you have to cut that some slack. Still pretty dang good. So for me, T1.

No cute lines, NO KID ACTORS, and full on violence. Heh, see, Eddie Furlong as John is half of what made T2 for me. But yes - there is something about the original film that grabs. The whole "you and me against the world" dyanmic of Sarah and Kyle, the darkness and desperation of the chase... Kyle's death, and the transformation that happens in Sarah by the very end. "You're terminated, fraker!" It's classic stuff.

As much as I loved The Terminator, I had to go with T2 simply because I've never been so blown away by a character in a film as I was by Sarah Connor in that one.

Terminator 1 hands down. I love Terminator 2 though, I really do. It was a powerhouse film.
