How more Sarah Connor can you get? That is totally how John was born. I'm making that canon. Right now. I can live with an emergency C-sec in the jungle. Especially if it means we can get rid of the hidden daughter theory (please?!) At least Sarah wouldn't get MRSA. Lots of good medicinal plants there, strong liquor, belt to bite down on. Sorted. That doc had a frakkin' mean streak. She got those alcohol wipes out just cos Sarah wouldn't tell her about John. That made my eyes water before she'd even reached for the scalpel. Sometimes you're better off in a jungle with a rebel, some booze and a sharp knife! <LOL> Speaking of mean streaks... I think <whisper it> the most likely explanation is that the ladies writing the ep needed a way for Winston to know Sarah had given birth. And without going way into the squick, the most obvious choice was a C-Sec scar. And that was squicky enough for me, thanks. They might've forgotten about Sarah's birthing story to Kacey, or figured we'd just fanw**k our way around it. Sorry AG but I don't think we're going to be seeing Johnarella or Kyleetta or even Kylie any time ever. Amen.

The fake Jameron with Cameron cooking for John was almost fan fiction world. It's not that outlandish though, why wouldn't Cameron cook? She already is supposed to clean their clothes, apparently, and certainly she has a few cooking books stored in her memory somewhere? Regarding Cameron we learned again that Sarah fears her sexuality (Jameron) and the Skynet in her - the bad Cameron version as the nurse killing both John and Sarah. Why does Sarah fear Cameron after she had accepted Uncle Bob as a father figure for her son and after having done a lot of missions with Cameron? Unlce Bob always obeyed John though, never tried to kill him, and he just seemed like an always reliable rock to be supported by. That's what Sarah admired about him. Cameron, OTOH, basically does what she wants (she is self-directing and takes "orders" more like "suggestions"), and the fear for hidden motives is always there. Even without her malfunctions. And of course, she also really doesn't like the "paralysing" effect Cameron has on John, as the dream parts of this episode illustrated.

I can forgive the POV cheats, but the C-section device felt over the line to me. I felt the same way abut the Doctor/abusive Sheriff device in The Good Wound. Forced. On a completely different note: I was all scared that Sarah was gonna wreck her car in the opening scene and then I was gonna be pissed with the writers. Then I felt silly for breathing a sigh of relief. Then I laughed at myself.

Ever wonder who he was talking to on the cell phone? Was he talking to Catherine Weaver? Would her AI have connected the dots when he was discussing about trying to get Sarahs Son?

I think <whisper it> the most likely explanation is that the ladies writing the ep needed a way for Winston to know Sarah had given birth. I didn't mind it. It's quite easy to think your way around and it worked well within the context of the episode. It just added that extra level of threat to the scenes between Sarah and Winston. <LOL> Every time she gets in the driver's seat... Maybe she could use Riley's helmet or something...

littleb-
If SCC does not come back I can promise an appearance by The other child, AKA Sarah's Daughter in a future episode of Connor Chronicles Online.
Once again PROMISE. James Cameron...she existed too as a distinct possibility.

Sorry for being behind the times, but I totally loved this episode and am still processing it. I do have a few comments on the "emergency c-section".
First, I was totally creeped out by the fact that Winston even found that scar.
Second, as someone who has personally experienced an emergency c-section due several reasons including premature birth, breech and no heart beat, I'm gonna have to say that Sarah lied to Kacey about the jungle. The thought of a c-section in the jungle and having both mother and child survive is just to unlikely in my mind. I think it was done in a somewhat controlled environment.
Now, the reason I'm totally creeped out is that even with an that kind of c-section, Winson was looking were he shouldn't have been looking. I may be wrong and although at some point in time a lateral incision would have been the way it was done but I don't think it hasn't been that way for some time now. I think most are done along the bikini line now. A person would really really have to be looking hard to find my scar.
So, really, Winston was looking were he shouldn't have been looking His finding that scar was just plain a violation and I'm sure that contributed to Sarah's being able to just kill him the way she did.

That was a very good catch!! I dont know how Josh is going to tie that one up. I mean we know for a fact she gave birth to John either in Mexico or Central America at the least. She could have been in a Hospital and received a C-section I suppose in that part of the World. I always assumed in the Good Wound she was pretty much telling the truth about having John in the Jungle except that Kyle was'nt physically there when she gave birth. Could Josh have made a mistake?

Well, the story about giving birth in the jungle was told to Kacey in "Allison in Palmdale". I don't think Josh is mistaken in where he is going with the storyline. I just think Sarah gave birth to John in a hospital and that she lied to Kacey about the jungle part.

Dude... stop... please. Reading those articles and pulling from my own experience, I'm getting really freaked out and even dizzy just contemplating a DIY caesarean.

Yeah, I linked to that story earlier as well, Ace. I don't know a girl who read that who's ever forgotten, because... self-caesarian - eeeeeeeeeugh. I don't think Sarah was lying to Kacey, at least Headey certainly didn't play it that way. It's not until Sarah tells the obvious lie about Kyle Reese being with her that she drops Kacey's eyes. One of the things to consider about high mortality rates for C-sections in pre-Modern eras was the lack of anatomical knowledge and high death rate due to sepsis. It wasn't until well into the late 1800s that someone pointed out that washing your hands between patients would more than halve the deathrate from 'childbed fever' among new mothers in Eurpoean laying-in hospitals.

I rewatched the episode this afternoon. I laughed (again) at Winston's comment about the neighbor he killed. "He borrowed my lawn mower. Every Friday. He never cleaned the bag."
Then Winston said the neighbor kept the books and the overseas business. He even confirms his bosses are foreign. I'm not sure we've been told that before.
There's some very well written dialogue in this episode.
Sarah You were my first. Winston stares Sarah You seem surprised Winston I just figured a bad ass gal like yourself Sarah Never Winston We'll I'm glad I didn't break your streak.
great stuff and there's a strong sexual tension in that scene. Two equals drawn to each other. Winston is the bad side to Sarah. They're similar, powerful and dangerous characters. Winston could have been an ally under different circumstances. Ruthless men like Winston would be front line fighters in a war against skynet.
Anyone else found this skull? 41:44 must be air time including commercials, (the episode is only 43 minutes long). I've looked at that scene in the room after the fire and can't see a skull on the wall. Sarah talks to that guy about his wolf tat. There's an abstract painting behind him. Is that the skull people are seeing? A screen cap would be appreciated.
