No power in the 'verse can stop the Resistance and the Brown Coats working together!!We are both a strong, determined and passionate kick-*** fan base, and we both ADORE Summer Glau!!! So, anyone else thinking that we should definitely start joining forces to bring much more Summer Glau's awesomeness to our lives? Certainly, we the Resistance and our fellow Brown Coats could be much stronger working together. That's a fact. Besides, I'm totally sure, as a Summer fan myself, that a lot of Brown Coats are also TSCC fans, and a lot of TSCC fans became Firefly fans thanks to Summer as well. So she might turn into our common inspiration to join forces and become the most powerful fan base that ever existed!! Brown Coats + Resistance Fighters = VICTORY!!After all, we both "aim to misbehave" Spread the word!!I've already posted this here: www.thewb.com/boards/showthread.php?t=506&page=43 Reposted the message here: Sci Fi ChannelHere: The OFFICIAL Firefly/Serenity discussion thread (Page 17) And here: TSCC RESISTANCE Season 3 WEEKLY INTERNET RALLIESPlease, don't give up. "On your feet, soldier!"No fate.

Firefly and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Both series were screwed by Fox. Both series are amazing action packed sci-fi dramas with smart writing, great acting and delightful glimpses of black/sarcastic humor. Regarding the main characters, Sarah Connor and Mal Reynolds, they both are fugitives; they both are chased by the authorities and both have to face unstoppable and merciless abominations which are inhuman and, at the same time, a product of the human greed for power. In addition, both Mal Reynolds and Sarah Connor were taken away from all the things they loved but they never surrendered and found their own particular ways of surviving, living at the margin of law. They both are protectors and they both fight. They both are brave and they both seriously kick-ass. And do I need to mention that both shows have an enigmatic freaky girl/scary robot that captured our minds and hearts like no other in the ’verse? And also, she can kill you with her brain! Brown Coats + Resistance Fighters = VICTORY!!If we support each other, if we join forces, then no power in the ‘verse can stop us!! So, please, get involved. Spread the word. Hang in there, baby! _________________________ EDIT: Also posted a message here: www.summer-glau.net/wp/?p=963#comments

OK so Futurama came back to life again after Comedy Central has had rerun rights and ran straight to DVD movies. They got great ratings and the DVDs sold well.
I think since SyFy doesn't want to outright order NEW TSCC - we should get after them to buy the rights to TSCC season 1 &2 repeats and run them in syndication.
If the repeats can get huge ratings on SyFy - maybe that will encourage them to talk to WB about producing some straight to DVD films that they can exclusively air. Then if they do well for ratings on those - who knows what could happen.

We need to keep positive and don't get discouraged. This is not over if we keep on fighting together as one. No surrender. No fate. ______________________ EDIT: I'd like to share with you my first fan video. Actually, it's my absolute first video too. Join the Resistance. Save TSCC.I included a voice recorded message (BTW, sorry about my terrible pronunciation ) so, just in case, here is the text: "Resistance Fighters of the World:
In order to win this battle, we need to grow in numbers. We need some reinforcements, and those reinforcements will come from other fan bases, who felt cheated by the Networks that canceled those shows. They’ve been through the same that we’re going through now.
So, Jericho fans, Firefly fans, Browncoats, our brothers, will you join us? Please, join us. You know what we feel.
If you're listening to this, then YOU are the Resistance.
There’s no fate but what we make for ourselves.
Hang in there, baby!"

Also, you can ask your friends who belong to other fan bases to join us or post a message on other fan sites asking them for help. Please, remember being polite and smart. Choose your words carefully. If you've already watched that show, a good strategy would be trying to find as many similarities as you can, between their show and TSCC, in order to generate a feeling of empathy between both fan bases. And of course, please, don't spam them. Take back the future. Bring back TSCC. Hang in there, baby!

Getting Sci-fi to run the 31 episodes of TSCC would be a great first step. I think TSCC's drawn out story lines would work better in syndication. Sci-fi runs 3 episodes of Trek TNG one night a week. That would work great for TSCC. A ten week run before starting over. They could do that for awhile. Hopefully, a bigger fan base will emerge. Then they'll order new episodes. Cable tv is actually creating the best programming these days. USA has Monk, Burn Notice,Law and Order CI and a new series - Royal Pains. TNT is kicking the ratings with The Closer, Saving Grace, Raising the Bar. Who the heck needs Fox, CBS or those other arthritic dinosaurs? I don't think the Sci-Fi channel is a good idea. There are plenty of cable networks that would be better, especially the premium cable networks. Stargate SG-1 began on Showtime and that was when the show was at its best. The show's quality declined noticeably after it moved to Sci-Fi

I think TNT or USA would be WAAAYYYYY better. HBO or Showtime would do a great job, too but I am not a fan of pay channels. Between the non-pay cable network possibilities, SyFy has the biggest international presence of all three. I did a quick poll in the savethescc chat one night and none of the non-US people had heard of TNT.

Between the non-pay cable network possibilities, SyFy has the biggest international presence of all three. That's true. Besides, Sci Fi would have a different appreciation of the show as a specialized channel. And also, TSCC will surely have a much better positioning there, in Sci Fi Channel, than it would have if the show had to compete with other formats and genres in any other Network. Especially, now that BSG is gone. I did a quick poll in the savethescc chat one night and none of the non-US people had heard of TNT. I'm in Argentina and here we have TNT, USA and HBO, not sure about Showtime though. At least the local Directv doesn't have it yet. Anyway, I think Sci Fi, USA, TNT and HBO are pretty well known all over the Latin American pay TV system as well. So any of them would be a suitable candidate. Not sure about Europe and Asia though.

I think most of the people in the chat at the time were European. Good to know that the other networks do have an international presence.

I think most of the people in the chat at the time were European. Good to know that the other networks do have an international presence. Yep, at least in Latin America and surely in Brazil as well. Too bad our fellow European Resistance Fighters don't have those channels... But surely if one of the afore mentioned American networks bought the broadcasting rights, then Warner would be willing to sell those rights once again to Virgin One in UK and Pro 7 in Germany, for example. And the same would happen with the Asian networks. The more foreign networks willing to buy TSCC the better for the show's chances of further survival. But first one of those channels should start rerunning the show. That's the first step. No fate.

Today I found a nice surprise on Sci Fi Channel Latin America. I will let the images speak by themselves: TNT Latin America showing T3 didn't call my attention at all. I think TNT belongs to Time Warner so they just wanted to promote their ultimate crap movie. But, how come Sci Fi showing T2? Ok, ok, it's sci-fi movie, right. But, why T2? Just a coincidence? Or... What if Sci Fi was still trying to convince WB to sell them the broadcasting rights in order to start rerunning season 1 & 2 of TSCC? And what if they were in advanced negotiations and decided to show T2 in order to prepare the audience? I don't want to create any false expectations, but I really need a good sign. If Sci Fi needs a reason to bring back our show, let's give them 1,000 tomorrow!! This saturday. Sci Fi Forums. Hope is unleashed. No fate.[/color]

USA Network tweeted me this:
USA_Network Hi; we appreciate the message and request but that's not a move that's going to happen.

I didn't have much hope for USA anyway, so I'm not surprised. But thanks for passing that along. I'll scratch them off the list of possible homes for the show. I would most love for Syfy or HBO to pick up TSCC. I know Syfy already said it was too expensive, but I don't believe them. It's such a perfect show for that network. And HBO, well, wouldn't we all love to hear some "you're terminated, fraker" kind of dialog? (except it wouldn't be "frakker")
