I know Syfy already said it was too expensive, but I don't believe them. It's such a perfect show for that network. And HBO, well, wouldn't we all love to hear some "you're terminated, fraker" kind of dialog? (except it wouldn't be "frakker") <LOL> This is definitely a show that needs harsh language. A PG-rated Sarah Connor just isn't the same! (well, PG-rated language at any rate, some of the violence on the show has certainly not been PG) Sent my ticket stubs off to Mr Roth today...

HBO might just have the money to do it. Let's hope HBO and WB get along...

USA Network tweeted me this: USA_Network Hi; we appreciate the message and request but that's not a move that's going to happen. Thanks for trying, reneeccski. I didn't have much hope for USA anyway, so I'm not surprised. But thanks for passing that along. I'll scratch them off the list of possible homes for the show. I would most love for Syfy or HBO to pick up TSCC. I know Syfy already said it was too expensive, but I don't believe them. It's such a perfect show for that network. And HBO, well, wouldn't we all love to hear some "you're terminated, fraker" kind of dialog? (except it wouldn't be "frakker") LOL! That would be great. ;D However, I got the feeling that Sci Fi will be our next home, despite they said it was too expensive, which means the couldn't and not that they didn't want to get the rights. That's why we need Sci Fi to reconsider, at least, testing the product by rerunning season 1 & 2. And, also, that's precisely why we need WB to realize that their best choice is not to produce two mega-expensive movies that nobody seem to care about but giving another chance to a wonderful TV show like TSCC, being the last one a comparatively much cheaper and definitely superior product that counts on the unconditional support of a huge international fan base. HBO might just have the money to do it. Let's hope HBO and WB get along... In fact, HBO belongs to Time Warner Entertainment Company.

So I'm thinking our biggest hope rests on the DVD sales. And for that we definitely need to push the release date and that folks should buy the TSCC DVD and NOT the movie. The show sales need to be way better than the movie for the WB to realize that the show is worth it. I put these posters together and aelysian at Savethescc was saying how the postcard places sell distribution lists or something. If it isn't too expensive, I'll buy it and send these out (or similar) to the list... random folk? That's OK! Posters are linked here tsccsociety.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fanart&thread=1876&page=1

As I said before, in other thread I can't recall, I think that WB might be testing both products in order to make a final decision and, in such case, I think we will definitely be kicking Salvation's butt.

I wonder if HBO being a Time Warner company makes it more or less likely for TSCC to got there? Would they make less money by doing that? I really don't understand how these things work. With Sci-Fi, I totally agree. It really is the perfect spot for the show to continue as a series. And I don't believe it's too expensive. I read that the way SciFi did BSG was to have a UK network partner in and share some of the cost in exchange for first airing rights over. I don't see how TSCC could cost more than BSG did. So why couldn't Scifi do something similar with Virgin1 maybe? Or even just work a deal with WB to run a miniseries at a discounted, which WB could then sell on DVD to make their end.

Hi, I wasn't been here for a long time. So sad that FOX canceled TSCC. T4: Salvation was superb and I would be confused if they don't continue the show.

It is all about the DVD now. If--and that IF is as BIG as Texas--Season Three got off the ground, it would be because the promise of really huge DVD sales on the end of it or any other franchise take on the TSCC spinoffs. This one is almost exactly going the same course as Resident Evil - 4. The writer talks of an new one--yeah, I know, that's a movie franchise--and yet it too seems frozen in time. I, for one, will buy the Season 2 TSCC DVD and already have Season one and have pre-ordered it from Amazon HERE: www.amazon.com/Terminator-Connor-Chronicles-Complete-Blu-ray/dp/B001AQR3J4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1246057617&=8-2 Fingers--make that: Weapons crossed!

I agree, zamboniz and I've already got my s2 DVD preordered at Amazon. DVD sales are probably going to make or break any chance we have at getting more TSCC because that's where WB gets it's money. If it's really profitable for them, they'll be more inclined to keep the story going.

That's a good point. I've been wondering about the same and that's why I'm inclined to believe that we have better chances with Sci Fi. Those are really good ideas. Especially the one in which you suggested the partnership with Virgin 1 to cover the costs - That would be a fantastic move! ________________ I'd like to share and discuss the following idea with all of you, my friends: I think I'm not the only one that felt disappointed with Salvation. As I told you before, I sense that WB/Halcyon might have decided to let TSCC be terminated because they, probably, became aware that the fans worldwide were actually way much more interested and absolutely fascinated by the TV series than by their mega-expensive crap movie, for what they might have raised to the conclusion that keeping TSCC could be somehow "dangerous" or counter-productive for McG's movies. In other words, if they just wanted the series to be a part of their marketing campaign for the movies, the series rising bigger enthusiasm from the fans might have been a huge "FRAK!" ;D That said, and considering WB is releasing Salvation and TSCC's Season 2 DVD/Blu-Rays at the same time [for what I'm inclined to think WB might be aiming to test both products on DVD sales in order to make a final decision on which one will be given another chance] I think that we should push WB and/or Sci Fi Wire [Sci Fi Channel webzine] to start a poll in which every single terminator fan of the world can decide which product would she/he be choosing if they were compelled to choose between more TSCC or McG's trilogy. In fact, that was precisely my intention HERE. If the WB's decision makers finally realizes that we couldn't care less about those crappy movies and that we actually do want more TSCC, they will reconsider their choices. We just need to push them a little bit. Hope is unleashed. No fate.

I read something on one of the other threads that the production value of TSCC was what the cost and upkeep--the sets, the costuming, the cgi, etc--was running into as far as the budget. That makes me think that other networks would see those figures and try to cut back on production value if and when they get around to Season Three. So I have to consider: Do I want Season Three at any cost? Or Do I want the new network to bite the bullet and pick up the series at the same production value quality as the previous two with Fox? All in all Fox must've felt they were spending (bleeding) too much money and the sponsors felt they weren't getting their due. So if quality was down, who would be the sponsors? --Geico? Toaster Strudels? -- Certainly not Dodge Ram Trucks...didn't they have one appear in the last series as product placement? Of course, all this went down before the economy collapsed and Detroit fell to their knees. ---------------- I hear your "crit" on Terminator Salvation; a lot of folks feel the same way you do. The gamers hate it. The paper said it was a sequel to TSCC, and I suspect that particular press release came out thinking that that would spike movie ticket sales. I sent in my poll as you asked: It's unanimous >MORE: TSCC<

Just an announcement: Today is TSCC day on Twitter.
What does that mean? It means you need to post a lot on Twitter and make sure you add #tscc every time. We're trying to make #tscc be a trending topic for the day, so it's going to take a lot of twitter spam tweeting! If you're a regular twitter user, it'll be annoying today because you'll get full up with nonstop #tscc messages. But it's only for one day and it's a good cause.
By the way, Twitter apparently has hourly limits. I got cut off after, um, a lot of posting. ;D I'll be tweeting again later though!

Resistance Fighters of the world, some of our brothers and sisters are right to think that we need to regroup.
The following is a good idea to keep the Resistance united and coordinate our efforts much more effectively: MESSAGE TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS THE WEEKLY RALLIES --
Over time the weekly internet fan rallies have slowly lost participation. We believe this is at least partially due to confusion because rally days, times, and locations all vary and have been changed in the past. For the future health of the rallies, we believe that we could gain new and bigger participation if we simplified things. Here's the proposal worked out by LightM555 and Knuttypoo:
ALL RALLIES COMBINE INTO ONE BIG RALLY ON ONE DAY AND AT THE SAME TIME FOR EVERYONE
We rally and open different tabs for the various sites we want to post at, including at least the WB and SyFy, and any others we want to add.
The rally would start at 1pm Eastern time. This makes it begin at 10am for those fans on the West Coast and 9pm for fans in Moscow, Russia. This 1pm Eastern start time is a compromise so that everyone from LA to Moscow will have a convenient start time (and not in the middle of the night).
The one weekly rally would be held one day, every Sunday, again a compromise so that we can get the most people to join in.
The rally would last for 2 hours instead of 1 in order to allow folks more flexibility with their schedules.
THIS IS THE PROPOSAL --- LET US KNOW IF YOU'RE OKAY WITH THIS PLAN
The goal is the future health and growth of the rallies, and to simplify things so we can all come together at the same place and time from all around the world. If enough folks like this idea we could give a 2 week notice and post the news everywhere.
