In the Save SCC chat that Friedman gate-crashed he said: "great stuff on s2 dvd. commentaries, lots of special docs. they spent a day filming us in the writers room. good stuff." Commentaries are apparently on Samson & Delilah, Allison from Palmdale, Adam Raised a Cain and Born to Run. Incidentally, the chat is well worth a read (even if it does make incredibly sad reading retrospectively): www.savethescc.com/transcript.html

I totally need that commentary on Allison from Palmdale! I have a Blu-Ray copy on pre-order at Amazon.

Amazon.UK has the 14th September listed for the UK release, which makes sense as it's a Monday and stuff does usually come out on Mondays over here...
The R2 DVD release was crap for extras (the UK blu-ray was the only version with all the US extras on it) so I'll probably buy R1 again which IIRC was cheaper first time out anyways!
Wish there was a Good Wound or SMW commentary ('specially the latter, that would have been awesome) but <shrugs> not to be.

E-mail the WB, tell them we need more commentaries! C'mon, feed the beast!

E-mail the WB, tell them we need more commentaries! C'mon, feed the beast! Plus the idea of hearing Headey's take on having to portray that stuff? *fandrool* You know, in that chat, Friedman said he volunteered to do commentary on ALL the episodes but they wouldn't let him because "No one is interested in the commentaries." I then joked with allergygal, if she remembers, that we should do fan commentary on the eps to prove our interest XD. The DVDs are likely already beyond the point where we CAN get more loaded on them, but you know what we SHOULD do? Get the writers and actors to conventions and give them a mic to do commentary during a watch party, get a recording, and sync it to the video. <.<

I'd love to hear Chaidez's take on stuff. E-mail the WB, tell them we need more commentaries! C'mon, feed the beast! They've gone for very safe episodes for commentaries - all the big myth-type eps, and of course a Cameron one <sigh>. SMW was probably deemed too "controversial" (ie. the screamers didn't like it) to give a commentary to which is a damn shame. Plus the idea of hearing Headey's take on having to portray that stuff? *fandrool* <LOL> I would love to know what she thought on receiving that script. "Woah, she does what to her thumb?!... I need a new agent..." We should totally be allowed to do commentaries (IIRC, Alias S3 actually did have a fan commentary on its first episode) I'm sure we'd be very serious and professional about them at all times and absolutely in no way would we resemble screaming fan girls... at all

The Season 2 Blu Ray is currently #51 on Amazon.com's Top 100 Blu Ray discs.
It is marked with a Green Arrow indicating a climb in position, and is noted for being in the Top 100 for 16 days straight.
Hopefully Season 2 will be a huge seller and bring more attention to the Show.
