I read somewhere that the writers of Terminator Salvation might insert some references to the TV show. I believe it was one of the producers and he neither confirmed nor denied it. Anyone think it might happen?
I'd really love to see Cameron in there somewhere. Huge geek moment that would be!

T4 takes place in 2018, so seeing Cameron would be impossible since she's made in 2027.
I read the same thing as you, but for some reason, I don't think we're going to get any references to the show.

Only time will tell on that one. Really too early too judge.

From Today's Fox Thingy:
James Middleton was asked about the challenges about working on the Terminator TV show, and the new Christian Bale Terminator movie coming out next May, and said that they both take “cues” from the original films, but that they take the orignal idea and go in two different directions. Each franchise is meant to live alone, and they’re buffeted by the idea that “fate is what you make it” - i.e. these could be different alternate realities for the different characters from Terminator.

There's bound to be small references somewhere. I take producers with a grain of salt in regards to things.

I doubt it they are two entirely separate universes.
But I won't count it out until I have seen T4.

Considering the ties to a new trilogy, the door is pretty much open for them to slide things in at any point. Just a matter of what.

I'm hoping for nothing.
But if I see someone that looks even remotely like Derek...I'll get suspicious that they've been reading my damn scripts again.

People begged me to include Derek.
People from this website no less.
Originally it was not planned...but I liked the character I jsut had to come up with a creative way to add him that did not cause any conflict to the story.
So I figured out a way to to it in T5...and his story is greatly expanded in T6.
And with t5 being up there...one never knows.

It seems unlikely that there will be links in terms of the storylines but there might be cameos. It would also be nice if they had some actors from previous movies make cameos. Maybe they could have Peter Kent, Arnold's stunt double, play one of the Resistance soldiers or a Terminator in T5 or T6.

Have to say, my friend and I were discussing T4 last night, and recognized that the main thing we'll not be pleased with with T4 is lack of Derek. He hasn't been in long or anything, but damn, did the character make a huge, lasting, 'don't you dare take that away' impression.
