Those are looking great gothamite66! I really like the black & white one of John. Question - does the forum play nice with non 100x100pix avatars though? I know some forum types are fine with whatever size gets used, while others stretch or distort them to within the specified avatar dimensions. Photoshop has some good easy features - in the masking tool, up at the top toolbar, theres a dropdown list for mask mode. aside from the regular mode, theres also "Fixed Aspect Ratio" and "Fixed Size" modes. The first two i've done, I've just used the Fixed Aspect ratio for 1:1 and draw a square mask until I get the size and position right. Crop image, then adjust image size down to 100x100 with Bicubic Sharper. If you already know this, then my apologies. Just thought I'd offer the method I always use to do my own avatars. Makes things quick and simple when doing one or several in a row And if by chance the forum does play nice with unsquare avatars, then the point is moot.
