Pairing with Dollhouse is very good. Being on Friday...not so much. First, a lot of the target demo is going out drinking and dancing on friday nights. Second, the rest of them are sitting home and watching stuff like Doctor Who, Stargate, Sanctuary, and BSG on the Sci-Fi Channel. Friday is also when they show most of their first-run original series. Fox wasn't stupid enough to run TSCC up against Heroes, why are they stupid enough to run it up against the Sci-Fi Channel's few watchable programs?
That said, I'll most definitely be watching TSCC and Dollhouse come February. But forcing us geeks to choose between good shows in the same timeslot is gonna divide the demographic.

It remains mystery. But seriously it's against logic. Do they know something we don't know? Or we know something they don't know? Because it looks like... Or you have to hug them!

Battlestar Galactica does not start until 10pm EST. The schedule (for my DVR) will be TSCC 8pm EST (FOX), Dollhouse 9pm EST (FOX), and BSG 10pm EST (Sci-Fi). All are first runs.
Sanctuary (and I have seen a couple episodes) will not be on the card for me.

On the one side we get the back nine a little unexpectedly, on the other it's Friday "the day shows go to die". I don't know what to think.
They pair 24 with House instead of using the highly rated shows to help others. ok... Still jealous of Fringe... And poor Dollhouse really isn't getting any help on its premier.
But hey maybe it wont be so bad.

Now I like my Sanctuary but I watch it 'online' anyway, so it's not an issue.
For me and my friends, sad single and otherwise 30-somethings that we are, Friday tends to be a 'beer and pizza in front of the TV night' - I'm kind of looking forward to winter Friday nights where I can blob out, watch SF on TV and not worry about getting my stuff together for work in the morning.

But hey maybe it wont be so bad. It's not a matter of helping the lesser shows out. They're obviously pushing to take the Monday crown away from the other networks. With the amount of money that the other networks have sunk into Mondays (Heroes is 4 million an episode), to lose to Fox would be huge. Now I like my Sanctuary but I watch it 'online' anyway, so it's not an issue. I know how it goes. You'll sit around, plotting horrible things and destruction for the rest of the world. All while eating pizza with your cohorts! But I'm all for a day where I get my TV Watchin' on and it's obviously going to end up being Friday. (k8ie is teh debil!)

Ok I've been kicking around this silly idea for the show to be promoted during American Idol. Get Shirley Manson as a guest musician on the show. Have her sing "Samson & Delilah". Of course getting Shirley to agree to do it is a totally different story.
I'm just upset it'll be running against Smackdown. (I love wrestling)

Not sure about this Friday move, but I'm eager to see it back-to-back with "Dollhouse." Should make my TV schedule a lot easier in the long run.
