The terminator-cycles are kinda gay, I'm not gonna lie.
Movie does look gritty, though, I like that. The special effects could also be touched up in certain parts (specifically the terminatorcycles). I also wish this movie didn't have so much daylight. That kinda ruins the the fun in the darkness of the future.
I've been very critical of McG, but this new footage is kinda dope. I do hate all of these additional terminator brands, though. I wish he wouldn't have done that.
The T-600s look so sick.

There's 10.
And how many times must I say this though out the innertubes.
This is early in the war...humans haven't learned it's best to fight at night yet.

Anyone working with John Connor should know better, since he should know. No way do I believe Sarah left out that bit when telling him what she knew about the machines of the future.
Obviously, I don't know when these daylight scenes are, but if they know John, they should know. Still might be out in daylight on rare occasion out of necessity, but more often out at night.
And "early in the war" - it's been going on 14 years already, if T3 was in 2004 (really not sure about that). With only 11 years left (if 2029 is adhered to). It's already more than half over. Even if J-Day was in 2008 (I've seen "10 years" bandied about), it's still nearly half over.
Now, I don't know at what rate machines are developed or when it becomes obvious they hunt better in the daytime. I don't even know when the world at large realizes machines caused J-Day. But "they've hunted better during the day for 10+ years, and humans just haven't figured it out" doesn't work for me.

Don't forget John is NOT in charge of the Resistance in any way at the start of this film.
He is simply a badass foot soldier.
The war itself won't have started until very recently since BOTH sides have to make it through nuclear winter...and the buildup of their forces.
This time in the Future war is the time mentioned by Kyle when Humanity was on the verge of going out forever but one man bought them together and taught them how to fight the machines.
Connor, John Connor.
So it makes sense for them to be out in the day because once again...they don't know better.
