Well, seeing the "3 dots" HK was kind of a big payoff. But I'm still scratching my head over why Sarah became so obsessed with the dots to begin with. That's really the part I'm hoping they get back to.

Was just thinking...about the scary possibilities....like this one.
Skynet is interested in how the human mind works while we sleep. Whether it is possible to brainwash someone or plant impressions or missions in their mind that supersede how they would normally think or act.
Now put that in context with Sarah being there.

That could tie back into Derek in the creepy basement as well. You might have something there, Ross.

The title has to do with SARAH?! Seriously, tho, I'll be interested to see how they're gonna keep all this dreaming stuff in the realm of SCIENCE FICTION and out of the realm of FANTASY (or BSG... which I love, but beside the point).

Some nightmares lead her again... I'm still waiting for the explanation of why exactly she was dreaming of the three dots and some logical sense behind it. You can explain already why she's been dreaming of the 3 dots. She already saw them on the wall the first time she looked at that blood list. She may not have consciously made a connection that those 3 dots are important but her subconscious did and it's been trying to tell her... therefore dreams. And this ep sounds good. I just wanna say HA@the folks that thought this episode title screamed Cameron I knew Natalie and Denise would have a Sarah heavy ep, it's in their history.

Skynet is interested in how the human mind works while we sleep. Simpler even. It is studying the brain in general. Researching sleep is a convenient excuse for that. So the guy left the three dots on the wall specifically hinting at an HK and Sarah's subconsciousness just figured it out? It's so utterly random on all counts. I liked what the dreams where implying, which was Sarah's fears of the triangle between herself, Cameron, and John. I was hoping the dots were some connection that she made between three events or pieces of information. But, no, instead she became obsessed with three smudges on a wall.

I'm not saying the three dots are the only clue. I don't want to delve too deep into why things are the way they are before they've been explained because that sucks the fun out of viewing for me and being surprised. With that said, though, there could also be another connection on the Bloody Wall. I don't know. My point is though, whatever those dots mean, she started dreaming about them because she had seen them. She didn't just randomly start dreaming about dots, she had seen them before and then started dreaming.. perhaps making her own connections subconsciously about what they mean (the connection between her, John, and Cameron). I don't know, but at this point I don't see any of it as being weak and they've partially explained why she's dreaming of 3 dots.

Memory is heavily influenced by sleep, that's when memory consolidation happens. During REM, synapses that are most used are strengthened while the least used ones are pruned. The fact that Sarah has begun obsessing over the three dots has started a reciprocal effect where nerves and synapses that contain that memory get fired more often so they get strengthened during sleep which leads her to having more dreams about the dots.

What if Sarah has no recollection of anything beyond seeing the HK until she wakes up in the hospital? If after all that, she goes back to the warehouse/factory and it's destroyed (let's say Weaver's covering her tracks, assuming Weaver is behind it all) then Sarah's got no real clues or leads to go on. Maybe she starts having weird dreams showing are bits and pieces of that blacked out time period and goes to a sleep clinic hoping it'll help her recall more. I don't really know how a sleep clinic could help her figure out her dreams, so I might be reaching. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there though.

I agree, the UFO that Sarah saw (which may or may not have been really there, and may or may not be a HK-like craft if it really was there - we don't know yet) is a very weak closure to the 3 dots storyline, if this is all there is to the 3 dots thing. Basically, the whole thing was just one gigantic coincidence that Sarah's obsession with 3 random smudges just happened to lead here to what may be a factory for Skynet equipment. There is no logical link between the bloody wall and the suspected factory, only dumb luck. So I hope there is more to it, and maybe this "sleep" episode will go deeper in on it.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads' up, schmacky. Here they are larger: Caption: John sneaks into the sleep clinic where his mother is staying. Caption: Sarah checks herself into a sleep clinic. The file name for this one actually said: Sarah and janitor talk. Caption: John tries to rescue Sarah from a sleep clinic. Caption: Sarah sleeps while her hospital roommate's bed mysteriously catches fire. Caption: Sarah is dragged away from a fire. Please can Sarah have developed firestarter powers? She doesn't look too cooperative when John's trying to get her out of bed. She must have gone there because she either thinks she's nuts or she's so tormented she can't function. Clearly John thinks it's a bad idea for some reason.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads' up, schmacky. Here they are larger... Please can Sarah have developed firestarter powers? That would be totally awesome. In that outfit, I want Karate! If Skynet's involved in the clinic, Sarah maybe offers to go voluntarily (cos she has genuine sleep-issues to get to the bottom of) then gets under the influence of whatever they're doing there and that's where John comes in. There's a definite air of Pescadero about that last shot...

The whole thing looks like an homage to T2 and Pescadero.
