Since the HK story emerged from the 3 dots, I'm sure it won't wrap up until the season finale. But I believe we shift more into the Jesse-Derek-John-Riley arc for a few eps after this one. Great. Pick up a storyline. Drop it. Pick up another storyline...etc. Awesome pacing.

That's actually not a bad idea considering it would be adding multiple storylines, which is something this show thrives on.

Especially if you consider half the viewers are MAD (For some reason) that we've had 3 episodes Back to back focusing on one story and want something different. And next weeks may be connected yet again to the previous three. So we need to switch up and get more development to the Jesse/Riley etc plotlines.

Hmm...so the complaint about season two used to be that the Connors were spending too much time being reactive and not enough time working as a team on the trail of Skynet. And now that they're working together and pursuing a real live Skynet-related lead...we're spending too much time on that? Zack P.S. No one contests that "Desert Cantos" moved pretty slowly, even by our standards. But the ball was moved forward on the mythology in a significant way.

Maybe because the storyline about the three dots seems to be completely divorced from the big Skynet storyline of Weaver and John Henry. So the three dots led to a factory of some kind where everyone was promptly killed and building is blown up, which was something Sarah might have done anyway. So there are HKs out there... Who cares! There are a ton of terminators out and about so HKs seem like they should be the least of the Connor's problems. Find the stupid evil tech not tech in general unless the lesson of this show is that all technology is evil. Good luck to the Connors on that one.
In other words, from where I'm standing none of this current ongoing storyline seems even remotely relevant to J-Day and how it happens.
Oh and the Connors need to TALK to each other more. They really don't act like much of a family, dysfunctional or not.

My biggest problem with the 3 dots, and the Riley/Jesse storyline is, it's being dragged out for far to long. Dedicate two-three episodes for each storyline, really flush it all out, and then move on. As a viewer, I would find that way more satisfying. I think that's the biggest reason most people resent Jesse, Riley, and the 3-dots.. The longer it all gets dragged out, the more frustrated viewers become. When the 3-dots first appeared, people were super excited, but at this point, everyone just wants to get it over with. As a result, if the reveal is nothing short of amazing, those frustrated viewers will be even more jaded, than they are now. I don't speak for everyone, but that's the general consensus I'm getting from casual fans.

Zack,
I do not think, that this is what I have asked for. I just want to see any progress in dealing with the conflicts within the Connor team and to me the last episode was more random interaction rather than some real meaningful communication.
And I do never want to get the three dots mentioned again. They are driving me crazy.
Why do we need four struggling Sarah episodes in a row?
But do not worry: Of course I will keep on watching.
I wish you a nice final day at the office.

I just don't understand all the harsh criticism. I guess we're all seeing a different TV show here because what's been shown I love.

^^ What Schmacky and AG and Zack said...
Also... the three dots lead Sarah to Catherine Weaver. I honestly don't understand why this is hard to understand. The HK prototype is merely the macguffin that tells Team Connor that, yes, Veronica, there is a Skynet in 2008.

^^ What Schmacky and AG and Zack said... ^^^ I'm with these guys. Everything's linking up - Sarah crazy > Dots > HKs > Zeira > Skynet. We know Weaver is working hard in the background to build up her little Skynet-to-be nest-egg (gathering up all the coltan, developing JH) and we know the Connors are on the right lines in terms of the dots. They got pretty damn close to each other in Desert Cantos, I'm guessing they're going to do that again. I think the people who are slamming the show at the moment don't know what the hell they want (because they're contradicting themselves left, right and centre) and won't be happy no matter what the writers do. As is the way of the beast. Personally, Bring on the next episode. Sarah, karate outfit, Sarah, flaming beds, Sarah... I'm very easy to please.

If what Josh said about this current arc is true, that this next ep is going to be the conclusion of Sarah's deal - then I'm totally psyched!!!
The third arc is always where the action unfolds. I expect some serious ass kicking!
And then, it will just get more interesting.
Bring it!!!
