Actor Thomas Dekker was born on December 28, 1987 in Las Vegas.
He is most famous for playing John Connor in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Zach in Heroes.
Thomas has a long-term girlfriend, Sydney Freggiaro, and is based in Los Angeles.
He can be seen in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Virgin1, Thursday nights at 10pm.
IF YOU HAD TO BE STUCK IN A LIFT WITH SOMEONE, WHO WOULD IT BE?
I‘d probably say Lena (Headey, co-star of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). I think she and I would have a good time.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR?
I’m terrified of the big obvious one, of death. I’m terrified of having this life taken away from me before I say everything I have to say.
DO YOU HAVE ANY SUPERSTITIONS?
I do actually, I have weird thing where everything has to be in threes if it can. If I look back over my shoulder, I like to turn my head three times.
IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE ONE SONG ON YOUR iPOD, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Oh my God, that’s the hardest question ever. I’m gonna have to go with Bjork’s All Is Full of Love, because it concerns many different moods and it’s the only one I can settle on.
WHAT’S THE MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM YOU’VE EVER BOUGHT, NOT INCLUDING PROPERTY OR CARS?
The first professional camera I shot my first film on, it was a Canon XL2. It was about 10 grand, which in one chunk was quite a bit of money, but the camera has paid off in spades.
WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
My father has this quote he’s always said to me, I don’t know if it was his or someone else’s and it’s ‘Today will never return again’ and that has always been really good advice to me in the sense of never wasting a day.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED AND WHY?
Believe it or not, I actually cried at the end of our last episode (of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) that aired here. Which was a shock to me, because obviously I was in it, I’d read the script, but I hadn’t seen it and Summer (Glau, co-star) just broke my heart.
WHAT’S YOUR INDULGENCE?
Food.
HOW ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ARE YOU?
I’m quite environmentally friendly actually, I went vegetarian when I was 13. I recycle and I give to charities and I’ve a couple of trees that I’ve purchased.
WHAT’S THE MOST FAMOUS PERSON WHOSE NUMBER YOU HAVE IN YOUR MOBILE?
I have the director John Carpenter’s number, because he directed me when I was six and we’ve remained friends.
HOW MANY TEXTS DO YOU SEND IN A DAY?
I would probably wager, anywhere between 25 and 30. I just had to change my plan to unlimited texting because it was getting a bit pricey.
WHAT ITEM COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
Probably the iPod.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would take away the desire I have to be a bit of a hermit. I’m used to the pleasure of hiding out in my own apartment and now, particularly with being noticed and known for the show, it’s definitely made me a bit tough on going out and meeting people.
WHERE ARE YOU GOING ON HOLIDAY?
Normally, the second I get any time off I come to Britain to see family.
WHAT WERE YOU DOING THIS TIME YESTERDAY?
I was sleeping and probably would have been today too, but this is worth it, this is fun.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING THIS TIME TOMORROW?
I will be at work on a new film I’m doing called My Sister’s Keeper.
