SideShow Collectibles Planning on Creating TSCC Toys News? Randy Jennings over at THEARNOLDFANS took some time to chat with Brock Otterbacher at the Sideshow Collectibles booth at Comic Con and he asked the head of licensing about their plans for launching a full scale TERMINATOR figures launch. You can read his entire article that includes lots of questions about their lines that follow the films from Arnold Schwarzeneggar’s film career. Click HERE to read it all! Broch informed him that they still have the T2 license but not that for the original film. Randy found this out about a pending TERMINATOR SALVATION LINE: ThArnoldFans.com: What “Terminator Salvation” collectibles can we expect? Brock: we have 1/4 scale, 1:1 (full figure and busts), statues/maquettes, & dioramas. ThArnoldFans.com: Can you tell me how cool it felt being on a Terminator set and did you meet several cast members? Or was it mostly to take images of the cyborgs for production? Brock: I (along with other Terminator Salvation licensees) was flown out to Albuquerque, NM, to visit several of the TS sets, as part of a fantastic licensing summit. I can’t say much of what I saw, other than some amazing looking post-apocalyptic destruction, a lot of skeletons, and maybe- just maybe- a Terminator or two! He then asked if they would consider making any figures for TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONCILES. Here’s his response: ThArnoldFans.com: When can we expect a Summer Glau premium figure from “Sarah Connor Chronicles”? Have you heard any rumblings of working with those people on the TV series? Brock: TV shows are a lot more difficult to make product for, though not because of studios or licenses. The problem is that in today’s “it’s a hit today, low ratings tomorrow” TV world, it’s hard to lock onto what’s going to make great and successful high-end collectibles. If you look at our Buffy line, it started off as not being that successful when the 1st 4 12” figures came out, and this was while the show was on the air. It’s wasn’t’ until after the show was gone that our line started picking up. TV is a strange world… ThArnoldFans.com: Do you watch “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”? If so, who would you personally like to see Sideshow develop first(if that ever happens)? Lena Headey or Summer Glau…or the Latino who likes to lean on low-riders? Brock: I’ve seen a few of the 1st episodes, but my heroic adventuring doesn’t leave much time for me to watch episodic TV, unless it’s on DVD. But from what I’ve seen, I would love to do a Lena Headey. No offense to Summer, as I do like her, but I like my women older and bolder.

Whoever puts theym out, they'd better be half as awesome as Allergy Gal's homemade ones. Well, in all honestly, they could only ever be half as awesome as hers.

Aw, thanks guys. I'll admit I impressed even myself with how good they turned out. And Turk, it's really cool that you commented. I did it for fun and to share with fellow fans (and also because cyadon here inspired me to do it), but knowing people who work on the show actually got to see them just makes it that much more fun. You know what? If I had any more female Joe parts, I was thinking of making a silent Chola. Such an awesome character. I was thinking about Andy Goode too - oh how I'd love to sculpt that hair and put him in an argyle dork sweater.

Figures.com wants someone to manufacture figures for TSCC - badly. Me, too! But Allergy gal's too expensive for my budget. Cool article, Erika. Karma! And the only currency she accepts is pieces of your soul. ;D

I would love to see figures as well as statues/busts. My Arnold T-800 is lonely.
