When Brian Austin Green arrives on ABC’s ‘Desperate Housewives‘ this fall, you may want to envision his work as a time-traveling toughie on TV’s ‘Terminator’ rather than remember his run as ‘Beverly Hills 90210’s slight David Silver.
“Sweaty guy with a hammer. A lot of tank tops” – that’s how Green sums up his look as Keith, a muscular contractor hired to tend to Bree’s (Marcia Cross) Wisteria Lane home… if not ultimately more.
“I’ve got to say, it’s a whole new world for me. I’ve never played a hunky guy,” Green shares in the October issue of Details. “There was one day when I had to take my shirt off. I must have done 400 push-ups.”
Fine-tuning his form for such skin-baring scenes, “I feel like I understand the pressure that women go through,” he says. (Of course, he also probably hears about the stress of staying pretty from real-life wife Megan Fox!)
Whatever Green is doing on behalf of ‘Housewives,’ it must be working: The Sunday-night serial is fleshing out his fix-it guy’s family, by casting ‘Dukes Of Hazzard’ and ‘Smallville’ alum John Schneider as Keith’s father.
Sounds to me like Bree’s libido might get caught ‘tween a generation gap!
Schneider is set to appear in multiple episodes starting with this season’s seventh, EW.com reports.
