Discuss the relationship here.

First, I have to say that the Sarah/Charley scene in What He Beheld was played brilliantly. Sarah was so cold and hard towards Charley when he came to the door. She laid it all on the line and basically told him to get lost for everyone's sake. But after he leaves, she walks back in the kitchen and feels it for a moment. She had to do it, but it hurt because she cares about him so much.

I have to say its kind of hard to ignore the chemistry they still have despite Sarah, not allowing herself to accept him. Even though he's fully aware now.

Yeah. What Charley beheld in the finale definitely took away his innocence. Telling Charley the truth about everything and him actually seeing the grim reality of what they're up against are two different things. He's entered their world now, which I think opens the door for him to actually become a bigger part of their lives. Whatever happens, I just want to get some Sarah/Charley hope now and then to keep the ship alive I don't know that Charley will even be able to return to a normal life with his wife, but if he does, I expect he'll lead sort of a double life. He and Ellison will make a great team, I think, to try to help Sarah and John. I have no idea how, but I'm sure they'll try.

So... Am I the only one hoping for more Sarah/Charley angst in season 2?

Angst is always good. Sarah's mental anguish entertains me.
And Dean Winters is awesome. It's nice to see him play a good guy, too. So yeah, I'd like to see more of Charley in S2.

The relationship between Sarah and Charlie should definitely be developed. Sarah has broken plenty of relationships before but Charlie is different. In all of Sarah's previous relationships, she used people to prepare for Judgment Day. Charlie was the first "normal" relationship Sarah has had since before T1. There was less of an ulterior motive for Sarah in this relationship. The feelings Sarah had with Charlie was probably much more genuine than with anyone else, except maybe Kyle Reese. It was an attempt to live a normal life and that's why she left him.

It was an attempt to live a normal life and that's why she left him. The fact that she'd agreed to marry him was a big deal. So yeah, she loved him. It was real. But Charley being married now kind of poses a problem with the relationship developing again. I think it'll be more like him always trying to help and look out for them and her trying to keep him from getting involved, while they try to ignore their feelings for each other.

I'm jumping in here, because this is totally my favorite 'ship of this show. I love Charley and Sarah. And John clearly views Charley as a father figure. He clearly represents normalcy for them both. awww!

That's how I see the relationship as well. He's almost a constant in John's life.

I know I should probably post this in the video gallery or something, but really... it belongs here, man! So, I was driving home from school this afternoon (hour drive) and I was listening to my ipod and Mamma Mia! shuffled on. Suddenly I thought of Sarah and how this was the PERFECT song for her after seeing Charley! I cut down the music a great length (it's just under 2 minutes) due to lack of scenes between Sarah and Charley... but I do like it short like this. Short, sweet, and to the point. Since I have midterms going on this week I only gave myself an hour to edit it. So check it out, let me know what ya think Mamma Mia! www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKNPtXrpp84After reviewing this footage it reminds me how awesome of an actress Lena Headey is. Such emotion showing on her face in these short clips. My heart goes out to Sarah lol.

That was nicely done. I'm such a sucker for Sarah and Charley. I can see why you wanted to post that in here, but rather than have vids scattered, it's better to have them all in the vid section (more people will see it that way too). So next time you pop in, post it there and then just change this one to a link.
