Instructions for Updating your PROFILE on Proboards. You can update your avatar and signature by clicking on the PROFILE link that’s located at the top of the page under the site’s banner. When the page comes up, click on >MODIFY PROFILE. Avatars for Proboards are 100x100. You can either select one from the list that I uploaded into the database or you can copy the URL of one of your own into it. **NOTE** Please upload your avatar/banners into your own hosting service, do not "snag" a url from the artist who created it and upload it. Doing this is called HOTLINKING and it steals the bandwidth from the Artist. You can also designate a saying to go directly under your avatar. For Signatures I ask that they be no taller than 400 pixels and no wider than 600 pixels across. To enter goodies into your signature area you will need to use bracket coding example[/img] Keep the images clean and have fun! Avatars help to create your online identity so have fun!

hey erika, quick question. can i put my own pic in? how do i do it. i read the instructions on the profile page by i am not computer literate. i'm an artist/writer and i have had more success on forums that have a 'browse' feature, that way i just go to my desk top, select one of my drawings then hit the 'open' or 'upload' button and voila! my pic is added to my profile!! is there a way you can explain in simple, layman's terms how i can upload one of my drawings from my laptop to my profile page? Please?

We don't offer the browse function on this site that would include us having storage space which would cost money to run the forums. You'll need to resize your icon to 100x100 and host it on another site like photobucket.com, www.imagebam.com, etc. At those sites you can upload your image and you'll receive a URL - you take that URL and pop it into the place in the profile section that allows you to add an avatar

I've been trying to add a personal avatar but have failed. The image is 100x100 and it's hosted in a public gallery at Picasa Web. I paste the URL, click "modify", and pfft. Can anyone help me, please?

I noticed most avatars and signatures are Sarah Connor specific. Are there limitations on Avatars and signatures other than....
Being politically correct and non-offensive?

No if you wanted to use avis from other genre shows, etc that's fine. But yes otherwise, no nudity, nothing that will insult people, etc.
