I just spoke to my friend and he told me that Sarah Michelle Gellar was offered the role of Cameron before the series started, but she turned it down. Is there any truth to this?
He said she mentioned it on the Tonight Show.

I have no idea if it's true or not but I can't really picture anyone but Summer as Cameron now. Loved Sarah as Buffy though.

If that´s true i´m glad she rejected it. I do prefer Summer Glau for Cameron´s role more than any other actress.

According to IMDB, Sarah Michelle Gellar hasn't been on "The Tonight Show" since 2002.

Maybe it was another talk show.
My friend isn't dumb or anything, but I think he refers to all talk shows as "The Tonight Show", haha.
I'll ask him more about it.
I have to admit, it doesn't really make sense since Josh stated this role was basically written FOR Summer, but who knows? Maybe SMG atleast went in for an audition?

Actors don't usually talk about offers that they've turned down.

Ok?
But it still doesn't mean that they don't at all.
Also, there's a website that is entirely based around roles that actors turned down. I wish I remember the address.

SMG's OK, but it's pretty clear that Summer OWNS this role now. I don't anybody else could have really taken over the role the way she has, modifying her own body behavior and all. I mean, look at her eyes in every scene - she doesn't blink! In fact, John should tell Cameron, "Hey, look at my eyes! Match that! Or else someone will spot that you're a machine!" Cameron should be able to fake blinking as well as a human!

Just a reminder:
Keep reviews constructive and respectful. Posts like "It sucks" and "Its crap" will be removed since it doesn't add to discussion nor gives any reason behind any sort of dislike for the movie. Back up opinions with reasoning.

But back to topic, it sounds more like a rumor than anything else, when it comes down to it.
