It looks like TSCC will lose some of its supporting cast if S3 happens. according to imdb... Leven Rambin is involved in Case 219--A drama centered on the aftermath of a high school shooting from the perspective of three misfit teens. Sounds like it may last 3 or so episodes before it gets axed. So, our favorite tunnel rat probably won't be seen in any future scenes with John-John. I doubt John would want to meet future Riley. The lice in her hair and BO would gross him out anyhow. Dean Winters is in a series Happy Town playing John Haplin. I'm really not making this stuff up. Scratch any flashbacks with Sarah and Charley. He's gone to a happier place. Stephanie Jacobsen is rumored to be in Melrose Place. A huge, huge blow to sci-fi. It makes me sick to see sci-fi's most versatile actress go to a night time soap. Stephanie has been in a lot of great sci-fi projects. Mackenzie Brooke Smith (Savannah) is in Growth a sci-fi project. I'm not sure if that's a tv series or a movie. It says a lot that even TSCC's supporting cast had no problems finding work. They're all very talented and sought after actors. Shane Edelman (Matt Murch) is on the big screen with Russell Crowe in State of Play. Garrett Dillahunt has several movie projects. They're busy actors, but hopefully they'll be available for TSCC. I'd expect a budget slash if S3 happens. I can't see much money being risked on such a low rated show. They'll probably have a much smaller cast.

Lower budget would also mean the future storyline will be wrapped up quickly.

The summer break is when TV actors typically start doing a lot of movie projects. Garret Dillahunt will hopefully be done shooting his projects by the time they need him to return as John Henry, as will Mackenzie Brooke Smith and Shane Edelman (we don't really know what the game plan is for season 3, so it's even possible that they won't be showing up until a few episodes in anyway.)

Savannah would be older in the future. Not sure just how old. Maybe in her twenties? I wonder if they will have her in the future?

John Henry cares about Savannah. She's his connection to humanity. I hope they cast an actress for future scenes. I'd suggest casting Nikki Cox. She was on the tv show Las Vegas from 2003-2007. Good actor, natural redhead and 30 (looks about 25). She was also one of the child actors in T2. ;D I think TSCC might have a good chance at casting her. She's very experienced, but not a big star that costs too much to cast. www.imdb.com/name/nm0185178/Savannah all grown up. The imdb link has pics without a lot of makeup. Nikki looks more like a regular person in those. screen caps from Nikki's series Las Vegas that ended 2007 **update** We've been discussing redheads on the Wiki. Someone mentioned Allison Hannigan. I wish TSCC could afford to cast Allison Hannigan. With her Sci-fi experience she'd be perfect. I saw pics of Allison last year when she was pregnant and she still looked good. Obviously older than Willow but still very good. She could pass for 30 with the right lighting & makeup. I bet it would cost a fortune to get her in another tv contract. Can you imagine her as Savannah, an adult resistance fighter and friend of John Henry's? Allison knows how to play a bad ass part. She rocked that season she played evil Willow on Buffy.
Brian Austin Green did a hour long podcast for Skynext. He mentioned that he was promised a full time contract in S3 (he was part-time in S2). Brian also said he was the future resistance leader in S3. That opens up a lot of questions! I'm puzzled about what Josh has in mind. It seems too expensive to keep John in the future for long. But, what are they going to do with Derek? BAG is supposed to have a bigger role in S3. I can't see them sending Derek back from the future (again). We've already seen the battle fatigued veteran return to 2007. The scenes in the park, eating ice cream and marveling at a world that hasn't been destroyed were fantastic. But, we don't want to see that all repeated again. I can't imagine how this (new) Derek fits into a full time S3 role. Maybe they will keep John in the future for most of S3. They might be able to keep costs down by splitting the scenes between Sarah (in 2008) and the future war. That way they aren't filming entirely in the future. I don't know if that would work or not. Filming both stories would take a big cast. It would be interesting to see John earn respect from people that don't worship him. I always found the John Connor butt kissing tiresome. Last time I checked, he wasn't wearing blue tights and a cape. I'd prefer seeing John in the future for most of the season. There's a lot that could be done with John Henry, Catherine Weaver and the resistance. But, they got to keep Sarah involved too. Somehow, stories from 2008 have to be told. Brian Austin Green said Josh's plans for S3 are very exciting. Better than anything we've seen so far. I hope we get a chance to see it happen. Brian's podcast is here... www.skynextpodcast.com/

How about Christina Hendricks as grown up Savannah? Browncoats will remember her as Saffron on Firefly. We've already got one Firefly vet on this show, and another would certainly be welcome. ;D

Interesting. We seem to have moved up a grade in TV Guide's estimation.

Maybe it's because our fans are out blasting every internet poll out there to keep it?
Write your emails folks! We wearied them w/ our harassment last fall, we can do it again!

The recent commercials for T4 reminded me that a Terminator endoskeleton conveys a much more powerful image than a human actor. Seeing that endo climbing the steps scares the crap out of people.
I wonder if they could give John (in the future) a reprogrammed endo Terminator? Maybe combining puppetry and blue screen they could do it on a tv budget? It would be so much more powerful (imagery) then some guy or girl in street clothes. Better yet, maybe a battle damaged Terminator? Normal human head and arms with a body that is mostly bare metal? That would be so awesome. That strips away all the pretense that you can housebreak a Terminator. Seeing that endoskelton reminds us that this is a machine that can rip humans into shreds anytime.
I think they could do it with digital software. Film a small puppet and then use blue screen to place it in the scene with the actors. Heck, a low budget film company (Full Moon Productions) made a series of Puppet Master horror films fourteen years ago. They were pretty darn good too! We rewatch them every Halloween. ;D Computer effects are even better and cheaper today. They could CGI the Endo but a well crafted puppet would look & move better. You can't beat a good puppeteer. They can do amazing work.
I think they used CGI for the endos that delivered the mystery box to the sub crew. It looked fake to my eye. You could tell it wasn't done very well.
My point is... TSCC needs to get gritty and more real. Let's see some Terminators with half their skin torn off. Show what happens when they walk into machine gun fire. The skin goes away and the metal keeps on coming towards you.

Cameron just got a little skin scraped off her face and an eye out. We never saw the damage under her shirt. Remember that famous pic of Cameron with her metal spine dangling in the air? That's what a battle damaged Termie should look like. It's ironic they've showed more gruesome scenes of dead humans (the bunker Derek walked through) then Terminators. We've never seen a disemboweled Terminator or even one shredded into pieces. They did skin one in S1. Cameron and her bloody hunting knife. That was memorable.
A rough photoshop of a damaged Terminator He's had his ass shot to hell and his pants ripped off. But he's still fighting!!! Free Image Hosting by ImageBam.comThis is one of those times I wish I could draw. I see this dude so clearly in my head. But, I can only do so much in photoshop. The bodybuilder legs didn't match the head/chest. I couldn't find a complete body shot that fit the endo. It needs to be drawn from scratch and then a professional graphics artist could make it look fantastic. I wanted to use Cameron but everyone would have thrown a fit seeing her torn up. MOD EDIT: Consecutive posts merged.
