Garret Dillahunt's online interview has the following... 19:06 Garret (Cromartie) sbc, I love this cast, I think they bring it every week and I will miss them. 19:07 Garret (Cromartie) Oriel, I was really hoping to have a real slugfest with Summer. But I'll have to settle for a gunfight. He also mentioned a couple movies he's working on. It sounds like he's really done with TSCC. The writers were careful to only say 19:05 Bender Is Cromartie really dead? 19:05 Dan (Writer) Bender: Cromartie's chip is certainly destroyed. I know we're supposed to see Cromartie in s02e09 ComplicationsBut, somehow I can't see Garret hanging around to be the permanent voice of the Turk. I got a feeling this may really be his final appearance. We'll find soon enough.

It's theoretically possible he'll be in any or all of the remaining 5 episodes before the break even if his contract is over. They film them out of order and the first 13 are done I think.

Good point. The Weaver/Turk story is beginning to take center stage in the story arc. Hopefully, we may get to see Cromartie for a few more scenes.

Wow. Great episode. Fischer's mission was to frame himself... I can't wait for next week.
Sarah's dreams are pretty much incomprehensible to me. Cute turtles though.
I really liked Cameron in this episode. LOL! It's weird because she didn't do much.
I REALLY want to kill Ellison. But hey that's better than being bored by him.
Jesse is so beautiful but she's a live wire. I'm afraid she's going to hurt Derek, Sarah and Co. more than help them. Why oh why wouldn't she let Derek kill the young version of Fischer?
Ah well.

Ah well. yea i like the turtles. i had a girl turtle. named her lisa. lol true story. anyway iven if Jessie kill old Fisher, Derek still could have shot young fisher. I knew Ellison would have Cromartie. what a jerk haha I like how Carmen turned Ellison over on his stomach like Sarah did with the turtle. She was mimicking Sarahs behavior to try to help Ellison

EDIT: Added point 21.
Another week and another series of thoughts and observations about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. This is episode 2x09 “Complications”.
1) OK, WTF? Sarah starts off with a bizarre dream. Cameron watering metal cactuses that pop up and grab John?
2) Now we find out they’re still traveling home from Dejalo and Sarah’s sick.
3) “Are you pregnant? Kacy vomited when she was pregnant. It’s morning, that’s when it happened.” Hahahah. I laughed. A lot.
4) Ahh. The ‘I feel things’ scene from the previews. John still seems pissy and angry in almost every interaction so far this episode. But that scene wasn’t as deep as I had thought it would end up being. Cameron carefully explains that she has sensation and a sense of touch. As I watch it a second time she sounds almost in awe of herself. Like how in season 1 she seemed almost proud about her hyper alloy combat chassis when explaining herself to Charley Dixon in episode 1x06.
5) Jesse has a pet hostage that she invites Derek to come help her waterboard. I like the idea that they describe of the ‘greys’ who help Skynet. But Derek doesn’t remember him. And I’m certain that’s because the future’s beginning to shift and Jesse came back after Derek. So her future is different than his.
6) Another bizarre dream sequence for Sarah. This scene was previewed online and has been extensively psychoanalyzed by others already. I’ll say I think the turtle represents John and Cameron nursing him represents him growing too close to the machines and further away from Sarah. And Cameron handing the turtle to Cromartie represents Sarah’s fear that this will cause him to fall into Skynet’s hands.
7) Cromartie is missing! John and Cameron are going to go have a field trip to Ellison’s house.
8) The man known as Fisher accidentally gives something away to Derek by showing that he has an apparent prison tattoo. Of course, we don’t know whether Derek’s jumping to assumptions or what.
9) The Derek/Cameron phone interaction was hilarious. He is forced to call her back and use the code that they’ve agreed on. And it’s obvious when she doesn’t recognize Fisher that he’s starting to think that maybe this is just as crazy at it seems.
10) Cameron asks about the turtle and I really like this conversation. This is the way that a terminator can maybe learn empathy. Through example and explanation. I find it interesting that Cameron wouldn’t go out of her way to kill the turtle. ‘It doesn’t seem like much of a threat.’ And she seemed almost… happy? satisfied? when John announces that is one for cyborgs.
11) Confrontation time with Ellison. Cameron leaves no doubt that, if he didn’t know before, he knows now that she’s a machine. After manhandling him and finally John calls her off she flips him. Like a turtle. Then stops and stares at her work for a moment as if confirming she did it right. As if she wanted to prove to John she’s not cruel, which is what I think she was trying to do.
12) Jesse drags the young Charles Fisher into the interrogation room with Derek and prisoner man. They both have the same birthmark and the young version is played by the builder of the Buffybot! Heh.
13) I love Derek’s explanation about how Fisher hates himself and instead starts in on his younger self. And that’s what breaks Fisher. Fear for the young self. The self he doesn’t hate.
14) Sarah tries going back to Dr. Sherman and falls flat on her face. Sarah, hon, you can’t get therapy if you have to lie through your teeth to the therapist. Worse yet is that he can tell you’re doing it.
15) Jesse kills old Fisher and Derek was about to kill young Fisher. I’m honestly not sure what I feel about this scene. Suddenly Jesse’s not quite the bitch I thought she was and Derek’s still ready to kill anyone. So no change there.
16) Derek talks about the future maybe changing instead of him forgetting. Was this what was in the basement or are things different? I dunno.
17) Sarah and John talk! And are honest with each other! Yay. I liked that.
18) Old Fisher is the reason Young Fisher was arrested. He had a mission and Jesse really screwed up by just executing him. Young Fisher tells the truth and is that… Pescadero he ends up in?
19) Another dream and this is all about the futility of seeing Dr. Sherman while Sarah lies her ass off. And there’s all sorts of weird things on the table next to him.
20) Ellison you rat bastard. You son of a bitch. You just sold out the human race to a liquid metal redhead. As a Christian you know what the road to hell is paved with and you saunter right down it you dumbass.
21) Nearly forgot this: ELLISON HAD THE PHOTO! I KNEW IT I KNEW IT! And John has it back now! All is right with the Terminator-verse! Kyle will still receive the photo that lets him fall in love with Sarah!
Ok, this is a really, really deep episode just chock full of imagery and deeper meaning and subtext. There’s a lot that I need to digest on second and further viewings. I’m going to give this episode a solid B+ to A-. It’s slower and very character heavy and very deep. It’s not the slam bam thank you ma’am of some of the other episodes (like Samson and Delilah) but it’s still very good.
This is not an episode that I was able to write my notes as I watched, either. I had to wait for commercial breaks or during my second viewing to get anything written down and I’m sure I missed things due to this.
Richard Schiff was great as older Fisher. Really well done. BAG and Jacobsen were great and Summer Glau was wonderful as always. But my hat is off to Lena who had the absolutely MOST screwed up scenes of this episode. My WTF? flag was off the charts several times.

Another week and another series of thoughts and observations about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. This is episode 2x09 “Complications”. 4) Ahh. The ‘I feel things’ scene from the previews. And that’s what breaks Fisher. Fear for the young self. The self he doesn’t hate. 4 - i think that is weird. Carmen might be trying to gain more human emotion to get closer to John since they spend a lot of time in the future 5- i like the term gray as well. Derek doesnt remember cause it wasnt him. different time line 9- i like th phone call as well. Derek "this is Derek" Carmen "oh is it" that was great 13- where did Jessie find yound Fisher

This episode was a mind twister! I really liked it. Older Fisher was a really cool character and had a well conceived story around him. The whole "deal", mission and insuring young Fisher goes to prison for life it just clicked greatly. It does beg the question for me at least: Is it safe to assume this is what happened in the basement or is this a different time?
I liked John in this episode a lot, he's the man I want him to be and I really do believe he's trying to convince himself that Cameron can't feel or be/do anything human. Its part of his way of keeping his mind off her. I know that is a bit "shipper" but I'm just stating what I see.
Cameron seems be acting more human each time we see her of course she gets her throw a weak human around moment! haha.
Sarah was awesome! The dreams were weird and honestly I tried to make sense of them all as I watched the show and ended up just feeling like I was thinking about it too hard. I do like the 3 dots, possibly another biblical reference? Trinity perhaps?
Ellison...playing for the wrong team fella, but then again he doesn't really understand that yet. It'll hit him when it is too late I imagine. I always felt Ellison would end up dead but only time will tell.
Biggest part of this episode I relly enjoyed was Derek's words towards the end the whole "I've changed things" and what if he never was in that prison but an alternate Derek was. Oh and I wouldn't have asked if there was a future "without us" I would have asked is there a future when this war DOES NOT happen? haha that'd be what I would ask.

I fell asleep watching this episode. Something about the endless car commercials and then watching the heroes either sit on the couch again or torture people, just isn't a good time.
SO Anyway...my points...
1. Ellison is the bad guy again? After learning all that stuff and helping them previous? UGH. I missed this part, but I read it above. He used to be my favourite. He is supposed to be a good cop. Wah.
2. I think that Cameron is the reason skynet is created. She is obviously not right in the head. Her chip damage is making her get a personality disorder. Like she will become meglomaniacal, believing she is great. She will interface with whatever Weaver has I bet.
3. I dislike everything about Jesse.
4. Please bring Charley back and have him run over Derek, Jesse, the psychiatrist, Cameron's broken chip, and now Ellison with his ambulance. Put an end to their suffering then go cheer up Sarah; get her head back in the game.
Cmon, tearing peoples finger nails off? I can't watch this type of junk. What type of world do we live in where my favourite scifi stories just hit rock bottom? Who is in control of these studios...? Is this supposed to justify the Guantanamo torture or something? WTF Fox!

A weird one tonight. Still have absolutely no idea what the turtles represent. Yes there were 3 cactus growing and 3 dots on the wall. So?? Glad to see the T-1001 mastered the art of creating nipplage. Didn't realize liquid metal reacted that way to cold. ;D Cameron is still working on the seduce John now subroutine. Cameron can feel the wind between her toes and we can infer that she feels in other sensitive places too. John was either a little dense or maybe preoccupied. That seemed to fly right by him. I'm a liitle confused by Cameron's new abilities. She can feel the wind between her toes, but a bullet to the body doesn't faze her? Interesting that young Fields will eventually wind up in Pelican Bay. But I don't think old Fields meant to frame him. I think he wanted to plant the backdoors to the software undetected. His capture kept him from finishing the work before it was detected. He was the one guy that could pass the retina scan. I wonder what crime Fields originally went to prison for?
