So from the previews it looks as though the point of Cromartie taking Michelle was to separate Sarah and consequently Derek from John so he would only have Cameron to deal with. Considering all the talk after the premiere about how Derek and Sarah aren't any good as protectors to John and only Cameron can actually be useful, it seems Cromartie sees them as enough of an obstacle to think he needs a plan to separate them from John.

I'm actually tempted to think Chromartie was counting on John to be left behind alone. Btw I'm not sure I remember it right but Chromartie doesn't know about Derek joining team Connor right? I don't think he does.
So IMO he counted on Sarah coming because of Charlie and bringing Cameron along with her for obvious reasons. A Terminator to protect you from another Terminator. And don't bring John because they know he is Chromartie's main target. Guess that means the Connor team might actually have the element of surprise on their side this time?

If he thought for a moment that Sarah would take Cameron with her and leave John alone when something is obviously afoot than he's dumber than I thought.

Sarah is always telling John to run whenever she's in danger. I can't see her dragging him along to such an obvious trap. I agree she'll probably leave Derek to keep an eye on John. Wonder what clever term Sarah will use for Cameron this time. Landmine was one of her less inspired efforts. Vista might better describe Cameron's malfunctions.

According to the new promos/scenes from recent interviews, Derek is with Sarah, Cameron is with John.
Episode has Sarah/Derek trying to save Charley/Michelle from a trap that Cromartie left them in and the ep has Cromartie chasing John and Cameron on the Santa Monica Pier. I think this is the ep where we learn if Terminators can swim or not.

I think this is the ep where we learn if Terminators can swim or not. Well, there are photos of Garret/Cromartie on the beach walking out of water.

In my script I have them walking under the water and taking out Incoming Resistance Navy Boats. My T5 script that is.

Turk posted on the Wiki (last July or Aug?) that they were filming the Santa Monica Pier scenes when the earthquake hit. Thankfully no one got hurt.

Seems pretty impressive that Cromartie can find John so quickly after kidnapping Michelle. A pretty cunning plot. And I do remember pictures of him soaking wet walking along the beach so obviously he jumps in the water to go after John.

All these filming locations are so close to me. Wish I could have snuck onto the pier to be in the background at the time. lol

Not!Penny should not die! I like her so much; she can act and I loved all of her scenes with Ellison. Hoping that the causality is Charley is like hoping that we won't have ice this winter... just not gonna happen. :/
