Pretty much Sarah bitching at Derek that she'll do whatever she wants even if it's a trap and Derek backing down without an argument. I'm not liking this new Derek. Agreed. I am hoping that it's leading to some explosion between the two of them.

I am liking the new Derek.
He was too much of an Alpha male and pissing me the hell off.
I'm glad to see Sarah being Sarah and not giving a damn what he thinks.

What we're seeing here is Sarah losing it. She's out of her depth in dealing with the various Skynet plots going on, plus all her personal problems (her fear of cancer, her estrangement from John, her rage equal to his of never having had a life). Derek isn't much better, but at least he's focused on the threats.
If this keeps up, by season three (if there is one), they're going to need some assistance from somebody with more resources and firepower than they can muster. Unless they can find a steel furnace to drop Catherine Weaver into, they're not going to be able to take a T-1000 (or T-1001, whatever that extra one means), not to mention whoever else gets involved in this.
Sooner or later the government is going to get involved in this, probably after another incident like the FBI SWAT shootout. And once that happens, things will go to hell in a hand basket very quickly, and the Connors will be out of their depth.
If James Middleton is correct and Skynet has more up its sleeve than just a desire to waste all humans, I hope Josh has thought through what that means for the Connors. Like somebody said here, wandering around with some 9mm's and shotguns and an M-16 really isn't up to the threat. Even Cameron has her limits - she's not a tank.

^^^ Dude, look at the pictures from the episode. Derek's got an M79 grenade launcher. In episode 5, he's got a Barrett M82 .50 caliber sniper rifle. The Connors are definitely upgrading their weaponry when concealment isn't an issue.

Awww yes but Owain Yeoman was seriously HOT. I love Dillahunt's timing as Cromartie though. His false laughing like 3 seconds too late is hysterical! "I've never smoked a little marijuana." That was hilarious.

Just saw a promo during Sons of Anarchy on FX.
'Next week, during Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," says the announcer. "In the mission to protect John Connor, there will be casualties."
It shows quick flashes. Cameron and John running across a pier. Cromartie at said pier with a handgun. Charley screaming into the phone that 'he has my wife!' and then Michelle, sobbing, tied to a chair with Charley, Sarah, and Derek nearby.
'You're sitting on a bomb!' says Sarah as it cuts to an image of explosives and wires.
Fade to Logo.

Looks like an episode that seriously hits the ground running with things.
Loved the bit about painting the house.

Definitely a different clip than that one. Much shorter. Just a teaser, really.

K8ie, I really like your deep thinking as far as relating the name of the next episode to "The Mousetrap"! Really cool connection you made there, and I think your right. How awesome that would be!!! On a more simple note, just for the hell of it... What if "The Mousetrap" is in reference to a trap set up to find John, by using Charlie as bait? Wasn't there a preview clip of Charlie chasing after his kidnapped lady? My first guess would be that Charlie would try to find Sarah for help, leading the way to John.

I wonder how how Cromartie finds them so fast. Charley & Michelle were packed and in the car when we last saw them. Ellison was there too. So maybe Cromartie was following Ellison and saw them leaving? This could be one way to get Charley single again. Michelle may get saved from Cromartie and then leave him. She was pretty angry with Charley in the last episode. She packs a mean right hand. Sometimes imdb gives spoiler hints. They indicate Sonya Walger appears in TSCC 5 times. 3 in S1 and 2 in S2. Mousetrap is her last appearance. imdb may be wrong. We'll see. us.imdb.com/name/nm0907427/Actually, if Michelle dies, that gives Charley two reasons to join team Connor. Revenge and his interest in Sarah.

It would make sense on how to find John.
If you know Charley is connected to Sarah (which Cromartie does, in fact, know due to his past association), then you get him in a panic and he goes to Sarah for help, you lead them off to no where (with a bomb to keep them busy) and then go after your primary with protentially fewer protectors.
Sneaky, sneaky cyborg.
