Shows do tend to change intros from Season to Season, just wondering if anyone thinks they might change things up for TSCC? (This thread meant to be a fun speculation thread prior to tonight)

One would hope they would add in some S1 footage.

I hope they at least change the VO during the opening so it'll stop saying Cameron was sent back by Skynet. I have a feeling it'll be exactly the same though.

I have a feeling it'll be exactly the same though. Agreed. I'm hoping for something new, though. I'm actually hoping for the terminator theme. It sure would be nice.

They're not going to change the music - the opening music is the theme music for the show. Bear McCreary rules! I love the intro music. I spent my car-ride into work pounding out the drumbeats on my truck door

Reminds me: Have we heard anything on the soundtrack release yet?

I hope they at least change the VO during the opening so it'll stop saying Cameron was sent back by Skynet. Perhaps she was, although I seriously doubt the Producers were thinking that far ahead when the intro was first used. I've always felt that the intro dialogue perhaps inadvertently gave the Producers a story arc that they originally hadn't considered, I guess by ep4 we'll know one way or the other.

The format of the new intro was very cool, I dig the whole layout, the individual character introductions, and how they present John, Sarah, Cameron, and Derek as a team. Very cool. The voice over is not the best, however.

I know Tonya hates it, but I prefer the new opening over Lena's voice overs. I always hated that @ the beginning of each episode last season.
I have a feeling the feelings will be split evenly when it comes to the new opening.

While I loved Sarah's voice over last season. I love the fact that they break each character down from a third person perspective. I like to think of it as a Future Resistance Resistance Fighter or Future!John giving us the layout of who's who in the whole of the equation.

You may or may not be fans of the "saga sell," but remember, it's not for you. It's meant to introduce the show to people who may be watching it for the first time.

At the risk of sounding pedantic I noticed the voice over described Skynet as a "Computer Program", in the first series the voice over described Skynet as a "Computer System". By calling it a program, read: software as opposed to hardware then the concept of what Skynet is appears to be heading down the T3 path and possibly away from the archaic original concept of Skynet being a single central hub tucked away in some mountain bunker.

The hardware needs a program to run, doesn't it?
