If nothing was wrong with Cameron than yes the fake kill switch theory makes sense. In that scenario she has full control over her functions so that when John pushes the buttons all will be well and she could say to John that she faked everything to test him. However we know that Cameron IS damaged and knows she is unreliable. Conducting a psychological exam on John isnt the best thing. Namely because it could endanger John. What if a situation occurred where instead of them shooting her with a 50 caliber John says "save your bullets! All I have to do is press this button!!*pressing* ooops!!" Most of Cameron's misbehaviour, If you could call it that, usually centers around withholding information. Having said that compared to anyone else in the show she is actually relatively honest. The shock comes because she is a machine and we expect her to be Uncle Bob. However Uncle Bob wasn't entirely cooperative with little John. He disobeyed orders several times in favor of what he considered a better alternative. In T3 we find 101 lying to Kate to get her into the vet truck despite her having command authority. Remember she asked 101 that if she told him where John was would he let her go. That sounds like a request to me. However 101 ignored her request. One could say it was because she asked and didnt command. Later however at the gas station she tries to exit the back of the truck and demands for the T101 to let her go. Compare to Derek who has repeatedly lied to Sarah and John, Riley, Jesse, Even the religiously sacred Ellison has lied about more important things than Cameron. Who in the show hasn't lied to Cameron more than she has lied to them? My theory posits that the Glitch is of lesser importance to Cameron in that it's mostly sorted out. Whereas making sure John is correct in dealing with metal...and he's very close...is more important to her. If all goes according to plan and John uses the Kill Switch then they can continue to work on the glitch. In this case it had I believe NOTHING at all to do with her CPU and everything to do with her Mechanics.

Looks like its an equal toss up regarding the Kill Switch. theres been good points and arguments made about it, even Ross's theory. If anyone watches that teaser on YouTube, go re-watch it a few times... its apparent fingers are going to be pointing over Riley's death. Looks like John's doing a valiant attempt at defending Cameron there, diffusing Sarah's accusations with "I don't know" and "we don't know that". However, it also looks like John is going to have some words with Cameron - Cameron's walking infront of the house, and then we see John also walking the opposite direction, coming towards her, and take a really good look at his face and body language as he walks. In the ending scene of 2x17, John knew Cameron was in the garage all day, and came in to see what she's up to. He even asked then, if she did anything to Riley, and Cameron answered truthfully. So I still think John will believe Cameron's telling the truth when confronted about Riley this time around again. It just wouldn't be John if he didn't question Cameron himself, in private because he'd want to hear it from Cameron. Yep. Looks like John will be on Cameron's side this time, and probably he might turn out defending her from Sarah and Derek's accusing fingers once again. Unless Derek realizes that it wasn't Cameron by examining Riley's body in the morgue, and decided to make Jesse believe he thinks it was the metal since he started to distrust Jesse. That would be good for his character. But I doubt he could be able to overcome his hormonal blindness.

How is Jesse going to hide the cuts and bruises. Makeup can only do so much. What happens when he tries to hold her and she winces from the soreness?
Riley busted her up really good. Also Derek is obviously teed off because Jesse stood him up on the operation.

Thats a neat twist for the better, Derek pulling the wool over Jesse's eyes for once, as she has been playing him from the get-go. How is Jesse going to hide the cuts and bruises. Makeup can only do so much. What happens when he tries to hold her and she winces from the soreness? Riley busted her up really good. Also Derek is obviously teed off because Jesse stood him up on the operation. Probably by using the timeless age old line on Derek: "Not tonight, I've got a headache." Ironically, a headache she created for herself... I agree though, Derek's gonna be real pleased about his plan getting busted. And the irony there is, had he decided to work with Sarah on it instead of his reluctant shower buddy, the plan would've worked just fine. Might be a good wakeup call for Derek, help remedy some of that fog that's been clouding his judgement.

In the latest trailer, it says that they find the body in the river. I was thinking at the end of the last episode that Cameron would get framed since Jesse got what she wanted: Riley ended up dead. But not killed by Cameron, so she would have to be framed.
Still, Sarah clearly believes Cameron did it, but John is sticking by Cameron. Will he change his mind in the episode? He sided with Cameron when they were about to burn her. Hmmm... I can't wait till this weekend!
As for Derek, I'm wondering what Jesse will tell him. She's got a powerful hold over the man. Not sure if he can see through her. We do know that if he sees the truth, he'll side with the Connors over her. "You've got thirty seconds. Go."

Strangely enough, they actually paid attention to continuity. That's rare with this show (It's amazing how Sarah's hand and wrist healed between episodes 16 and 17. I wanted to throw a pillow at the tv when they showed her nonchalantly scrubbing the bathroom floor with that hand. Jesse has some cuts on her nose in this image. BAG is doing his impression of a guy that just got stood up. ;D

Derek: Oh...Okay. So wanna help me in the shower?
I'm serious for the most part it's Derek's horrible writing that grates on me the most. Like last episode, Jesse comes back wearing something that Jesse HE knows would never think of wearing...and he says...nothing about it.
Most of the time he's just written as if he's an idiot.

That's a large supposition right there. They'd already had one conversation about Jesse either getting with his program or telling him about hers that day - obviously, Jesse's been off working some angle. IMO, the point is Derek a) doesn't care what Jesse does to get Cameron and b) trusts Jesse's judgement. He's wrong to do so but that doesn't make him an idiot. It makes him, to quote Derek "human."

Okay let's say the odds are NOT GOOD. I very much doubt he has seen her come back dressed that way. At the very least he should've asked a few times what were you up to. His blind trust of a Jesse that may not even be the one HE KNOWS is really annoying.

Why are all the manipulator's women in the show?
Doesn't SCC have room for a Zachary Smith somewhere?

They don't seem to have that sort of relationship. They seem to be "don't ask, don't tell" with benefits. And I agree, it's annoying but I suspect it's very much the point - Derek has put his trust in Jesse because she's from the way and because they're frakking. Samson & Delilah, remember? It's not the perfidy of women that's at the heart of the story, it's Samson giving up the secret of his strength, the information entrusted to him alone by God, to Delilah. Now, Derek may be trying to protect Sarah, but he's been second-guessing her from the beginning and now it appears to be about to bite him in the ass...

Why are all the manipulator's women in the show? Doesn't SCC have room for a Zachary Smith somewhere? Your forgetting Cromartie, when he was still around, he took the Connors for one heck of a goose chase as a decoy to distract them while going after John. Charlie's wife died as a result in that episode. By far he was the only real and major threat the Connors had. He was several times just a hair's width away from getting John. A shining example how cunning and inteligent Terminators can be, especially true for the 888's. And now that body while chip-less and hooked to the Turk mainframe is John Henry. That child-like innocently curious nature can still become a deadly threat... Especially at what's hinted to come...
