MOD NOTE:
I'm going to try to shepherd our discussion back on track here. This thread is about 2x07 The Brothers of Nablus. Let's talk about that episode. Speculation, spoilers, etc. There are other threads in the non-spoiler forum to talk about ratings and scheduling. Please talk about those issues there.
Our trollish friend got us a bit off track. Let's get back on it.

Good call cyadon.
Well a few things are boggling my mind.
Cromartie looks to be with Jody in the preview. Maybe she is the going to die. We know she isnt a terminator because of the scene of her and Cameron in her house that she 'faked' robbed.
Im not sure what is up with Jesse. she seems real shady. would it be nuts to think she was kidnapped, brain washed and sent back by Skynet?
what do you all think?

But the big death is to be one of the ones who was at the Comic-Con panel.
And she wasn't there.
She might die but I doubt very much that her death will "in a very real way bring about Judgment Day".
I think Jesse is not brainwashed but really is part of a I'd guess surprisingly large group of Resistance soldiers who think Connor's gone off the rails in the future.

Do you think it's going to be Riley? She was never part of the writers' original plan in the first place. She was only added b/c FOX insisted.

The character of Riley was always thought up, it was just that the Fox suits wanted her to be introduced earlier than the writers were originally thinking. I think Josh had said they were thinking of having her come in during episode 6 or 7 and Fox wanted her to come in episode 2 so they "compromised" on episode 2.

Weighing in here on Brothers of Nablus. Written by Ian Goldberg Titles fascinate me. Nablus. A Palestinian city sitting in a strategic location between Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim. Once called Shechem. Very biblical. Where Abram (later Abraham) built an altar to the Lord who had appeared to him, and given the land of Canaan to his descendants. Brothers. Ian Goldberg’s episode, What He Beheld, began with a scene of two brothers. And featured the horrific massacre of the SWAT team. Brothers of Nablus. Can't wait to see where that fits in. Could that duct-taped guy in the chair with Cromartie be the dude who roughed Jody up (and got all the cash) when she and Allison/Cameron were at the food court? The episode mentions a robbery, could Jody be involved in that? And lookee there, there's two dead people in that bowling alley photo with Cromartie... The trail of dead bodies grows longer... We've got a bowling alley, and a jewelry wholesale store (with words in Spanish) and a grocery store. Quien sabe??? btw, new here - first post - spoiler addict!

Having spent some time in the West Bank, I can tell you that Nablus is considered a center of Palestinian resistance to Israeli authority. It's not a very popular idea in America, so I don't know if the writers intended it, but when I hear 'Brothers of Nablus', I think 'Brothers of the Resistance'.

Certainly works for me. Thanks for that insight! Gotta figure somewhere in the next eps, Ellison gets to meet the resistance fighters.

Or could that guy taped to the chair be another resistance fighter sent back from the future? Anyone sent back legitly by future John Connor would be by association "Brothers of the Resistance" Just another odd idea... Maybe by rare chance, that taped guy is Jesse's brother, she came back looking for him? He was looking for the Connors but Cromartie found him first? Its a long stretch and not likely, but eh. A guess is a guess...

I like the "brothers of the resistance" idea.
The resistance would naturally bring together people who otherwise never associate, creating a fellowship that might fall apart when the pressures of the constant struggle for survival is eased... and Jesse's just not trustworthy.

Weaver did it to whats his name from the Power Plant, well sort of lol

I think that's a stretch but I did wonder if maybe her scar was more than a conversation piece... if John can reprogram terminators, who's to say Skynet can't "reprogram" human beings.
That said, I have no idea how, if Skynet, say, shoved an explosive in a person and sent them back in time on a "do this or you go boom mission", the machine could actually confirm that the deed had been done... unless maybe Jesse was supposed to report back to a machine in the "present" (not that I think Skynet would care but the human would need a plausible reward for doing the machine's bidding).

If Skynet can effectively turn humans then it wouldn't really need Terminators.
