But could John tolerate Cam's apologies? He seems grumpy every time Cameron tries to make connection with him. Sometimes I even feel sorry for her. On a normal day? not likely, especially at this point. His emotions nd mentality are too volatile / short fused right now. Like I said, have Cam save his life from another Terminator while his mom and Derek are elsewheres, and I'm talking a nice little life threatening - almost got John, then I think John might be more open to Cam's apology while John's still gathering his wits (and breath) about himself. Even have Cam beaten up a bit, having been a real effort of a struggle, not just your average 'whack a terminator' scenario. Maybe even have John offer his thanks for saving him, and that'd be the perfect opening for Cam to make her apology.

Cameron can sweeten the deal by giving John a "get of attempted assassination free" card.

Show some understanding and support. Yet advise against his current behaviour.

John would probably say something like this: -How could you understand me, you're just like them - a killing machine, you have no idea what I am going through. -Yes, I have no idea. The best would be terrasj's idea, then Cam should give John vicheron's "get of attempted assassination free card" which would crack up him, Cam then offer the apology and they're back to best friends again. Happy ending The End (I think, I may have watched too much Friends today )

Interesting setup there Tom.
However it happens - whatever happens from it, we know Cameron ends up on his bed. That much is a given. (I like happy endings too)
Chrisimo: Its a wild guess, but perhaps thats exactly what she's doing in that scene? Maybe she's learning from that suicide brochure, and taking the initiative to spend some time to just be with him? like a friend would? Subtlety gain his trust back in that manner of just being around him like that. If thats the case, I think Cameron's off to a good start. Cameron at this point is the only one John can unload onto.

I'm wondering how John reacts to the sudden closeness of Cameron -I mean the bed scene here. Something must have happened before that scene, so John lets Cam close to him. Or maybe Cameron just walks in the room, talks two sentences and simply lies down and listens to John. My guess is we're seeing really big things into little scenes...again. Man, it...just...sounds...sooo...Wrong! ;D

So... I just seen a different preview for this episode and I don't know if this has been covered or not, but why are Cameron and John in a bed together?

This is Cam. She's trained for an Off-World kick murder squad. Talk about Beauty and the Beast.

It's probably at the end of the episode a person or persons have been killed or come damn close to being killed lil John is feeling very mortal and alone cue Cameron making some sort of attempt to understand why John is feeling the way he is. In short I haven't got a clue, but it's normal to edit preview clips to create a scene that is probably not accurate. Throwing that scene into a preview clip ensures all the teenage boys will tune in next week, might give the ratings a little kick. A case of leading them down the garden path by their noses.

Read back a page or so On on hand Its going to give fuel to the Cam/John shippers for sure. On the other hand, it could be quite platonic in gesture of goodwill and friendship. She's concerned for him (the suicide pamphlet and the gunshot), as well as possibly making some amends for her reversion in Terminator programming. Like I stated earlier, this scene has alot of potential in several directions. At the very least, repair some of that mistrust within John, and help his angst state of mentality. Back atcha Tom, your edit beat this one about the page back ...

It would be so great if it was true. They would be back to normal which could bring a warmer atmosphere to the show. It would complement John's bad relationship with his mother. And we could see some Cam-John cooperative ass kicking. ;D I would put my left hand on it that the editors are just playing with us...but if next week I type half speed, don't wonder.

I just don't think its entirely meaningless or for nothing. At the same time, John would be totally useless in the future if he completely washes out now from all the pressure and burden. Washing out aka snaps, breaking point, nervous breakdown, or the suggested suicide attempt. Cameron was sent back to protect John (as best as we can believe Cameron's truth). Perhaps she was sent back to protect him in more ways than one? Perhaps there was an incredibly dark time in John's teenage past, that future John told Cameron, possibly times of depression, self doubt, suicidal. Maybe it was one of Future John's orders, or maybe a suggested tertiary objective or even just Cameron's knowledge of and perception to intervene and help young John out of this destructive rut? Maybe thats partly why Cameron ends up laying on John's bed? If there is one thing thats true is this - our interest in Cameron is still at an all-time high

That's highly likely. And future John sent back Cameron so young John could connect with her more than he could with a T-888 or something. Besides if Cam knows John's future she would be the best psychologist for him. Even with just using her manipulating abilities she could help John through hard times. Amen. ;D
