I suspect we may see him back as a figment of Sarah's nightmares. But it will not be the real Cromartie.

Agreed.
Sarah has the best nightmares. Devilishly good, eh?

Let me make a prediction. Her nightmare is that Cromartie's body isn't where they've buried it. And it wont be.

I guess the most obvious would be that Ellison returns alone and digs up Cromartie returning the body to Catherine Weaver who perhaps then uses it as a part of the Babylon project. It would certainly help to explain this previously posted BTS picture of Cromartie.... What's more if you look at the right side of Cromartie's face even though it's in shadow it still looks like he's missing an eye.

That sounds plausible TG.
But why would Ellison do that? My sense was Ellison was working with Catherine to get to Cromartie. Now that Cromartie is gone, why would Ellison show her the tech?

IMO. Catherine offers him a sense of purpose (as opposed to Sarah). Ellison kept asking Sarah, "What's next?" Even though Cromartie is dead it seemed like Ellison still doesn't have closure.

I've been thinking along similar lines as TG in that Ellison will get Cromarties body for CW
I actually don't think that Weaver was ever looking for Cromartie. She's essentially looking for a terminator that has gone beyond it's programming in a similar manner that the Turk has been moving towards. Cromartie doesn't fit that bill. I think CW is actually looking for Cameron.
Of course, she'll want Cromartie for his spare parts.

Possibly something as simple as torn allegiances. Sarah effectively turned Ellison away at the end of the last episode. The Connors have thus far shown that their really only capable of thinking at a tactical level, long term strategic planning seems to elude them. Under the circumstances considering their backgrounds that's not entirely surprising. By turning Ellison away, a man who knows everything and clearly wants to play a role, after all what else is he going to do, the Connors may well have driven Ellison, along with everything he knows straight into the arms of Catherine Weaver, probably the one character aside from possibly Cameron who is thinking & acting on a strategic level and not just worrying about what's around the next corner.

Ellison knows that he and his family are still in danger. Now that Cromartie isn't here to protect him, Skynet could send another Terminator to either replace him or his wife. He wants to "play a role" but he also wants to make sure that something like that doesn't happen. Clearly, Sarah is not capable of protecting him and his family so he can only go to the only person who might be able to do it, Catherine Weaver.

And yup his face certainly looks deformed on the damaged side. Now I love Cromartie so him coming back isn't an issue. And it makes Johns statement in an old interview of the death "practically ensuring Judgment Day" mean something.

We still don't know what happened to the Terminator sent to replace Ellison. It would be such a waste for Cromartie to just destroy it.

Is Cromartie going to be used as some kind of avatar for the Turk by Catherine Weaver, or are they going to use the Turk to reactivate Cromartie in place of a chip? WEIRDNESS!

Since we have been mentioning the meanings of episode titles--what is the meaning of Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today? I'm totally confused about this one. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? Thanks, David

Mr. Ferguson is the name of the teacher Cromartie killed and replaced in the first episode.
