I agree with Vicheron on the situation as a whole. As do I. I was just stating my opinion on Summer's potential departure from the show.

I probably should have added to my original post that as my desire to kill off Cameron is hardly likely to eventuate my second choice (read realistic) would have to be Cromartie. Having just obliterated an entire FBI assault team (brilliantly conceived and filmed BTW) the guy will have gone straight to the top of the FBI's most wanted list, sorry Osama. With that in mind it will be interesting to see how the writers deal with the fact that Cromartie will now be centre stage in the biggest manhunt outside of Afghanistan. Not that I want Cromartie killed off, as I harbour a secret desire to see Cameron turn on the humans for good thus allowing my 'Terminator Bonnie & Clyde' scenario to take shape. Yeah I know, never gonna happen, but no harm in hoping.

I will say the Bonnie and Clyde approach is an interesting stand-point to say the least. Doubt it will happen either, but its an interesting situation, no less.

It is interesting how we've never seen Terminators working together.

I agree yet again. It does seem particularly odd. In the comics, they send them in numbers back. But the only thing we've got from groups thus far is the Terminator groups taking out the Resistance during the war.

The thing is that they then said that time travel will bring them back. So, it doesn't sound like it's a permanent death. Plus the fact that it sounds like they have some sort of device that helps them in Season 2. Deus ex machina type stuff??
I've stated that I think it would be a great WTF moment if JOHN CONNOR dies in S2... saving Cameron. Cameron then has to find a way to turn back the hands of time to undo this tragic turn of events.
I would find that a very deeply felt situation. It shows that a very strong bond is forming and not just in the roll of protector/protectee... even though they have their disagreements and arguments and tension and mistrust this season. Very cool, especially if you've been led to believe Cameron is untrustworthy. Maybe this glitch in her programming is beneficial to her becoming more than a machine?
I wouldn't like it if Season 2 ends with yet another: is Cameron dead scenario. That was S1. Why repeat it?

As time goes on, I think it's a bigger and bigger chance that it's Cameron (which would suck imo). There's an interview from Comic-Con where Josh said the person that dies 'knows and is at peace with it'. And then there's the comment in another interview (right after the panel) where Summer reveals that she knows who is going to die.
Is it a temp or permanent death? Dunno. Josh has alluded to time travel being involved but I'm sketchy.
They have to be careful because they've invested so much time and energy into the character that to cut her off without resolving the tin man gets a heart storyline would suck on a colossal level. At the same time she's an awesome draw and I don't know how they could do it without cutting their own ratings out from under them.

If it is Cameron or Cromartie then it may not necessarily be ones that are have been on the show. There are more than one copies of each Terminator. It would be kind of a cop out but technically they would be telling the truth if another Cameron or Cromartie "dies." Of course if it's Cameron then they could have a good Cameron vs. bad Cameron thing and end with "is the survivor the good one or the bad one?" sort of thing but that would be really cheesy.

Well, they could also go with a predestination paradox with Cameron where Skynet sends Cameron back to kill John Connor. The good Cameron "kills" the bad Cameron. They save the bad Cameron's chip, which John reprograms to build the good Cameron in the future so that she could be sent back.

I voted for Catherine Weaver. I don't remember Shirley being particularly outraged at the panel upon hearing that someone was going to die. Poor Richard sounded like he was going to have a heart attack, along w/ Lena and Thomas. So if Josh says that the person is at peace with the news then it's likely not them.
I think it's a toss up between Catherine or Cromartie going.

She says the right things in interviews, but she has no energy behind it. I don't know, I have the tendancy to look too deep into things, but I do remember her saying that when she got the part she really felt she didn't know what she got herself into. My guess is, she wanted to give acting a shot, but she's probably having an itch to stick with music.

Wasn't she thinking of reforming her band and touring?
Yes, Shirley can actually say, "we're putting 'Garbage' back together!" LOL!

Actually she's still working on her solo album, which should be coming out at some point this year.
