It's getting weirder - 14 eps of DH were made, but Fox only has to show 13. Or something like that. So maybe not a cancellation then.
I don't understand American television. That is all.

Dollhouse does lack tie-ins with a big budget movie franchise. The release of "Terminator Salvation" should definitely encourage Fox to at least order some episodes to see if the success of the movie will affect the series.

Dollhouse does lack tie-ins with a big budget movie franchise. The release of "Terminator Salvation" should definitely encourage Fox to at least order some episodes to see if the success of the movie will affect the series. All credit goes to The GodfatherSJP at the wiki. "This was just posted at Airlock Alpha. Link: www.airlockalpha.com/news426246.html. We're not mentioned until the bottom paragraph. The article is NOT by Michael Hinman, it's by Alan Stanley Blair, and I don't know if this guys more reliable. Here's what he says at the bottom: "The death of "Pushing Daisies" came as the first solid dent to the genre this season, with others expected to follow. NBC's "Kings" now faces imminent doom and Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" is expected to wrap up following its second season finale this month, however rumors are currently circulating that its producing studio, Warner Bros., might be able to give the show another chance as part of its marketing strategy for its upcoming "Terminator Salvation" trilogy." ---------------------- Does this mean WB wants Josh to tie in the series with the movies? Less drama more action? This rumor rasies many questions both good and bad.

The Wiki had a fresh thread just for tonights episode. Within three and half hours they have 34 pages of comments. I haven't seen that much activity since S1. By Sat morning they may reach 50 to 60 pages in 12 hours. unreal! I think tonights ratings will set a record for S2. ;D

Howie Do It kicked our butt. Even the Finale wasn't enough. Man, that hurts.
That's not a reflection on the finale. TSCC lost it's audience a long time ago. You can't lure them back to see a finale of a show they aren't interested in.
They could still build a new audience. Run the 31 episodes (several times) on the Sci-Fi or Fx channel throughout the summer. Then, Fox would have better ratings next Fall for S3.
I'm not sure Fox or WB are that committed to saving the show. They'd have to practically give it away to the Sci-Fi channel for reruns. It may be cheaper to cancel it.

The show will be back in some form or fashion. It won't be the Sarah Connor Chronicles though. It will revolve more around John.

I was just reading an interesting article, about this award ceremony Josh Whedon was attending last night. the author said that Joss was very down on Dollhouse's renewal chances. Which, is entire opposite of that Airlock Alpha rumor leaked a couple of days ago. "Indeed, he(Joss) was generally highly pessimistic about the shows prospects for a second season, all but acting as though the show had already been canceled (which, for the record, it hasn't yet, at least not officially). He didn't give any specific reason for his opinion, although one might guess lackluster ratings and bitter experience are contributing factors." io9.com/5207864/joss-whedon-accepts-award-drops-dollhouse-hints-names-winner-of-buffyriver-fightIs Fox operating under the mentality that they can only keep one genre show? Dollhouse or SCC. Or, are they willing to cancel both shows, and possible alienate sci-fi fans forever?
