One thing we should remember is that Tom tends to exaggerate things. For instance, he claimed in the Virgin documentary that he was gonna have this big, knock-down, drag-em-out fight at which he got injured filming it which in reality turned into him knocking some punk down, throwing a couple punches, then getting pulled off by Riley.
Wasn't exactly Jet Li material.
So his claim about an "all new show" could easily be hyperbole. Although he seemed pretty specific about there not being any women in his life and how.
Problem is, we now know Leven was specifically ordered to lie about Riley's nature at the beginning of the season. We were all assured that she was just a normal girl - until it turned out she wasn't. Which means we really can't trust anybody's spoilers.

While I agree that Thomas exaggerates everything, for all we know, some of that "fight" footage may have been cut.

Wow. I saw the T:SCC/Dollhouse promo during Family Guy and it was freaking amazing! It was very retro, and very Taraninto-esque. It was tongue and cheek, but super bad ass.
The voice over says, "Fire up your Fridays with a double does of the "D" girls. The Dames of Deception: Cameron and Echo. Hotter than Hades! Soulless! And Smart! No matter what language you speak These two fisted freakies are gonna get you straight More Action! More Suspense! More of Everything! Double your Pleasure. El Feuego! Always new and back to back. Don't snooze.

It's up on Youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y8K7u-7Kx0<winces> I thought it was pretty crap and faintly embarassing (sorry!) I am so glad the publicity moguls and the production peeps seem to be singing from different hymn-sheets. I would imagine a fair few viewers will be suing them for false advertising if they tune in for The Good Wound expecting Hotter Than Hades Cameron only to find Sarah digging up boxes under apple trees with Kyle and some mournful music.

Augh. I'm with you, littleb. Believe me, I've got a sense of humor about this show, but not when it comes to their marketing! Once again, they're promoting TSCC as the wrong kind show. And any new viewers that tune in expecting to see what they're pushing are going to be sorely disappointed. I just don't get why FOX refuses to market this show as what it is: a kickass, sophisticated sci-fi drama. Yeah, it's got hot-bot Cameron and boy-becomes-a-man John, but it's also got complex story, family drama, twisty time travel, terminators, liquid metal Catherine, intense Derek and some other character whose name escapes me. I'm really starting to feel nervous about this Dollhouse pairing too. Fringe would have been a much better match, I think.

I'm with thecolours.
Loved it so much.
But then again for me it hits all the right notes.
Terminator and Tarantino...win all round.
I also think this will be a fantastic paring.

It was just so wrong. And naff. And cringey. And pretty much completely unrepresentative of the show. Which I'm guessing was what the advertising muppets were after. I think that's the major problem, they might get a viewer-increase, demographic-increase for the first episode but then I'm guessing The Good Wound is a) going to be Sarah-centric and b) pretty serious in tone so they might get their ratings bump for one episode but then I can see everyone who tuned in just on the strength of that trailer to tune out again the week after. Actually, I would struggle to see anyone tuning in on the strength of that trailer, it was so bad the only effect it had on me is that I don't wanna see Dollhouse anymore! Yeah, what's her name again... Samantha summat? Demographics, damn demographics. Interesting that there's been a boy/girl split on the trailer response so far. Yes that's being overly-simplistic but it is boys and their disposable incomes that the ratings people are after (p.s Fox, I also have disposable income) and this trailer was not one for the girlies. Not even the gay girlies. I have problems with Eliza Dushku <whispers> I don't think she can act. I'd be kinda interested in watching DH because of Joss Whedon but wish he'd chosen a different lead. Not seen Fringe but it's ratings have been pretty good which might have given TSCC a bump up. Same as the blog redesign though, that trailer brings in a decent enough audience to give us a third season and they can air it every hour on the hour for me, just as long as the show in no way, shape or form reflects it.

LOL. Every promo Fox has aired so far for T:SCC has been mis-leading. The usual promos Fox makes for T:SCC only cater to the hardcore fans. At least this one may bring in more casual male viewers, even if it's only a temporally splash. It's unabashed eye candy, and it gets people's attention. Hey, sex sells. Welcome to the human race.

What was that? Why, Fox? Why!?!? I'm with the ones who believe that this is just so wrong. The only reaction we can get from this "promo" is a lot of potential new audience with a huge disappointment after being cheated [once again] by some marketing chaps that don't have the slightest idea of what the show is about and instead are promoting something else, something that in their little marketing oriented minds looks like "cool stuff" when it's nothing but a big and ridiculous lie. That's not TSCC. Wrong path. Big mistake, Fox Hope they fix this mess with some serious promo soon.

It's unabashed eye candy, and it gets people's attention. Hey, sex sells. Welcome to the human race. Unfortunately, the audience for serial TV female-skewing, which ironically, is why advertisers want male audience so badly. But if you want a show to last, you need female eyeballs. In terms of long-term audience, however, advertisizing TSCC and DOLLHOUSE with an ad that I, personally found offensive (and, so it seems did a number of female forum members), and moreover is misleading and doesn't convey the premise of the show hurts TSCC in the long-run. And I think that ad hurts DOLLHOUSE a lot more. Nothing I've seen out of FOX about DOLLHOUSE makes me want to tune in. Frankly, the ads (print and video) make me think I'd rather rub lye in my eyes. I'll record the first episode and check it out but I am not hopeful.

Everyone who loathes this ad please leave comments on our main site and over at SpoilerTV.Spoiler TV is one of our affiliates and they get HUGE amounts of traffic there. I want word to get out all over that TSCC fans are not happy w/ this ad. You can also send messages to Fox directly on their website.

On a completely different subject... I'm just starting to wonder if Cameron might have some kind of significant interaction with John Henry... they would seem to be kindred souls, in a sense. Now I have visions of Cam and JH on the run together from both Weaver and the Connors. Perhaps it's just the idea of two fugitive AIs getting into all kinds of scrapes on a crazy road trip across the States. I'd watch that spinoff!

New promo is tight.
I like how the first line of the song ("Doll, you make them feel so mall. Hit me. Hit me.") matches up with Cameron looking all sweet and innocent, and then a man goes crashing threw a window.
