I'm with thecolours. Loved it so much. But then again for me it hits all the right notes. Terminator and Tarantino...win all round. I also think this will be a fantastic paring. Felt exactly the same as Ross. Loved this Grindhouse style "trailer" from FOX. Co-sign. It was about time we got something different. I'm so bored to death with the generic pop-rock music infused with predictable clips and voice-overs. I wish Fox would do more trailers similiar to the grindhouse-esque one.

Summer and Eliza will be hosting the premiere for the all new Fox Fridays.
I saw a quick 10 second commercial during American Dad, advertising Summer and Eliza hosting T:SCC and Dollhouse this Friday. It showed them sitting side by side, both looking beautiful, and smiling at each other. Hopefully, someone will upload the commercial on youtube soon.

American Dad doesn't come on for another hour n a half for me but I have it set to record it. If no one has uploaded it by then, I'll do so. Edit: Uh, yeah, sorry that's WAY too short and pointless for me to put forth the effort of getting that online.

What does it mean 'hosting the premiere'?

What does it mean 'hosting the premiere'? Typically, 'hosting' a TV show like TSCC entails giving a brief announcement and maybe episode summary at the beginning as well as introducing commercial breaks and returns from them.

I've been thinking about Cameron's DYI self destruct locket. I don't think that's going to be in the story for long. It's too pat and easy. It also removes any tension between Cameron and John.
There's no way the writers will continue this for long. They want that edginess with Cameron. She's always a loose canon. "Sometimes they go bad." is the mantra for reprogrammed T's. Sure, Future John could wire in a self destruct into any T he reprograms. But, dramatically that's too limiting.
I think the locket's only purpose is to create dramatic tension for Today is the Day and The Voyage of the Jimmy Carter (Ep 18 & 19.) John briefly thinks he has Cameron's fate in his hands. They'll find a way to reset the story line and ditch the self destruct locket after the "Will John destroy Cameron" plot is resolved.

I want the medical examiners to find some odd radioactive anomolies during Riley's autopsy- and then find out that the bodies in the safe house from season 1 had them as well. Maybe this can come to Ellison's attention? Truth is all of these folks from the future who have survived nuclear war should have all kinds of unstable isotopes in their bones- lurking and waiting to either cause mutations or cancer.
The Connors need to find out that Riley was from the future- and I want Derek to take Jesse down. Erika and I have been talking and we think Jesse was turned - the whole scenario where she told Derek about being tortured- it was actually her story. Her line "I'm not here to stop the war- I'm here to win it". What the frak? Whose side is she on?

I've convinced myself that the death of the loved one is going to be Derek. Thomas said that John was going to be all alone at the end of the season. There would be no women in his life. But, what about Derek? Well, he's not going to be around either. Hence, him being all along. Thomas never even mentios Derek's name in the Dekker tapes. Cameron or Sarah is going to leave/betray, and Derek is going to die. Edit: Just found this article out. Derek isn't going to die. "Is Brian Austin Green looking for a new job? According to Korbi at Zap2It.com, Green has secured a role as a character named "Lucky" on the new CW series The Body Politic. It is said that the new series will come in second position to Terminator, which is still his first priority; however, if Brian is already looking for a new gig, that can't look good for Sarah Connor's future..." www.terminatorsite.com/If he was going to die, Terminator wouldn't be his first option if the show gets renewed.

I've convinced myself of who the death of the loved one is going to be Derek. I thought it just referred to Charley karking it in the next ep. Someone's not getting out of the next episode alive... I'm putting money on it being the guest star who's got another role in a different show!

I think there is a good possibilty that both Charley and Derek are gone. JF said death of a loved one three times, I'm interpreting that as three people close to the Connors die.
Riley was the first Next... Jesse (assuming she's actually dead) Followed by Charley (I'm pretty sure he's a goner)
If Jesse didn't die, then Derek could be a goner, or maybe Ellison since JH seems to have taken a liking to him.

I don't think Jesse is dead, so I'm concerned Derek could be the third "loved one" to die, too.
Riley, then Charley, then Derek.

He will only take on a role for a new CW series, if Terminator gets canceled. If Terminator comes back, he'll be back.

I did read the Zap2it article and in fact I formed my opinion as a result of reading the article. This show has a history of intense misdirection on the part of both production staff and actors in an attempt to foil any spoilers. I stopped believing every little thing they say awhile back in regards to future speculation for the show. The fact that BAG has been cast in a new pilot lends one to believe that Derek could possibly die this season.
