Since my first guess of Cromartie being the big death that was alluded too at Comic Con was wrong, my current thinking is that Derek Reese will be the next character to die for the following reasons: 1. He was on the comic con panel and JW said that the major character who dies is on the panel 2. In "Goodbye to All That" he tells John that "we all die for you..." and finally 3. The person who dies inadvertently brings about JD. In "Complications" Derek tells Jesse that he has done things and that he has changed the future. So, that's my current thinking but I reserve the right to change my mind at a moments notice.

Ugh - they really don't want to kill off Derek - he's got a huge number of fans. His death and dying for John would force John to man up though.
I'm thinking Ellison might be on the chopping block, he's made too many mistakes recently and seems to have outlived his purpose on the show. Either that or Sarah "dies" in The Good Wound - but is brought back to life.

The only reason I don't think it's Ellison that gets the ax is because he is the most obvious and logical one to go. The writer's seem to like to toy with us and it would be just too easy to off Ellison. I don't think it will be Sarah, John and Cameron because they are pretty much the Holy Trinity of the show. Weaver is currently the evil one so I think she will stay. Jesse and Riley weren't at Comic Con, although I wouldn't mind either of them dying a semi-glorious and painful death.

As long as Jesse dies (and Sarah doesn't) I'll be happy. Or at least satisfied.
Although if she took Riley down with her? Awesome.

Sorry if I'm being daft, but I needed a list of the panel members right in front of me. I'm going to guess James Ellison. (Runners-up: Weaver, Derek)After being thoroughly by something I just saw, I'm going to change my guess to Sarah Connor.

^^ Ah, so you saw the Official Bog's redesign, eh? Colour me unimpressed as well. So many things make me wonder why they even bothered calling it the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I recall Josh saying sometime he didn't even like the title. Awesome. Anyway, I think it's Ellison. But I'm scared it's going to be Derek and I'm even scared that they might actually kill off Sarah.

^^ Ah, so you saw the Official Bog's redesign, eh? Colour me unimpressed as well. Yeah. So many things make me wonder why they even bothered calling it the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Uh huh. Ya know, I told myself I'd never let myself care so much about a show ever again, but just to show what a masochist I am, I listened to that podcast (it was the one for The Tower Is Tall) even after the -tastic one for Allison from Palmdale -- featuring the immortal line "The Sarah story... ". Anyway, at this point, and in all seriousness, I would not be surprised if Sarah Connor bit it. I'm preparing myself.

Despite the complete and total lack of importance of Sarah Connor to the SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES marketing team, she's not getting killed off. Not a chance. Neither is John (although that would be a totally cool story arc to have him die in the present and have to come back from some other point in the future) or Cameron or Derek.
I'd say Ellison is on the chopping block except that Skynet wanted him dead. So that makes him important to the pre-judgement day fight (as much as it pains me to say since I hate Ellison now). So I think Catherine or John Henry are the most likely people to go by the end of this season.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care if Sarah isn't front and center every time (or even most of the time) just because it's the SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES?

Am I the only one who doesn't really care if Sarah isn't front and center every time (or even most of the time) just because it's the SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES? It's like having House not be front and center on House advertisements. Or if Buffy was half the time in the background in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Or seeing an ad for Eli Stone and seeing his brother instead of him. If you're going to have a character in the title of a show then that character should be front and center. And not die (unless they come back to life). Edit: I did put "not die in there" so it sort of stays relative to the topic heh. But like I said, Ellison should die. He really should. He's been sliding and for me, the pastor scene was all sorts of boring and it was like a slap in the face saying "Ellison is boring! Get rid of him!"

Mod Note:
Hey guys, I know I did it first (and for that I apologize) but let's try and stay on topic here. Marketing and similar discussions belong on the Non-Spoiler Board.
Thx.

I know what it's like. I'm really asking if it's such a big deal that TSCC despite the name is more of a ensemble show. I personally like it more this way than if Sarah would be like House and it would all be about her. Don't shoot me.
It's not that I don't like Sarah. It's that I like the other characters enough not to want them to be accessories like the secondary characters on House.
EDIT:
*posted before I saw this.

I really like what Ellison brings to the show but he's definitely swimming in dangerous waters. Although, it would be funny if he turns John Henry into some sort of moral machine who destroys or is destroyed by Weaver. Dying three times on one show, that would be some sort of record for Garret Dillahunt - he only died twice on Deadwood, eh?
