See? It's not impossible for it to happen (in fact, it's FOX, it's pretty much a certainty that's going to happen) the question is HOW? and WHEN? John did scream to someone in one of the recent trailers: SPOILER WARNING"She's a machine, she doesn't have a soul and she never will!" So maybe this crush of his is set to crash soon, but anyway I really hope they get to the point of future!John/Cameron relationship, where they seem to be pretty close. One thing I wonder, in this timeline will Cameron have to self-destruct at some point (like the T-800) or will she stick around for the war?

I'd assume it really depends on the circumstances of what happens with Skynet at this point. Much like T2.

One thing I wonder, in this timeline will Cameron have to self-destruct at some point (like the T-800) or will she stick around for the war? I think that there will certainly be a couple of interesting dynamics between the two in the finale. John seems to have been conflicted about Cameron for most of the season, but I look at certain comments like the above as more of a statement he says to convince himself that she is nothing more than a machine and therefore she could never feel anything for him anyway, so what's the point for having feelings or any type of real connection to her? It feels like mother's influence more than anything; John has to keep giving himself a reality check. My question was about one of the quotes from Cameron in the finale preview, when John walks in on her somewhere and she asks if she needs to kill him now. Is it just me or did she actually sound hurt or offended? Maybe because John doesn't trust her?

I thought that I was so weird for wanting these two to get together. Whew! I'm not te only one, lol. I also think it would be funny if Cameron starts to feel jealousy towards that blond girl John has been talking to. People would be like "why are you jealous over you brother?" lol

From what I can tell, a good amount of fans feel the same way...even though there is controversy. The whole human with machine kind of adds some spice to the discussions. I believe Summer and Thomas also hinted that the writers may or may not go in that direction. Either way, however, she does want Cameron to experience love, and has stated that she thinks Cameron does love John in a unique way. Whether that love is romantic or not can only really be revealed with time. I love the evolution of their friendship/relationship so far and cannot wait to see how it will progess in season two.

Found it extremely interesting to see the whole approach of the T-88 with a wife and John and Cameron's reaction to it. It's possible it could be giving John ideas, but I agree we'll just have to wait it out and see.

Well after watching ep8 consider me a mild shipper of the pair - believe me I've been resisting it all season - but now *hangs head in defeat* I like the way they're written though, I may be speaking too soon but its funny that a human/cyborg relationship is written and thought-out better than most ships on today's shows.
We'll see how/where they go.

I caved. I'm ignoring my fear and I'll start joining in on the discussion For me John/Cameron is definitely something I enjoy watching on the show and I think just because it raises so many questions and because it's kind of strange compared to the subtext/couples/whatever we are used to. I like that there are so many discussions that can be had etc. about them. Personally, I don't really see a problem with Cameron being a cyborg (that sounded weird...) because I think it sort of comes down to what is humanity and stuff like that. I mean, it's okay to love animals and other people, so why not a terminator? I mean, it's different from loving an animal since well... animals being animals (God, why does it feel like I'm digging a hole for myself that I'm never gonna get out of? ), but a terminator looks human and is about as close as you can come to a human being without actually being human. And I mean, you can love someone for who they are - their mind etc. - so well... yeah, it's weird but in my opinion it's sort of a good weird. There's so many different directions that John/Cameron could go and so many layers and issues with it that I just can't wait to see. I sort of like that John/Cameron is the source of such discussion because it's sort of different to anything else we've seen on television (well, maybe perhaps with the exception of Gaius/Six in BSG *sigh* I love them too but that's just me *innocent face* (/random)) Sorry if I don't make any sense or if I like... express myself really badly. Hopefully you sort of get the idea of what I'm trying to say.
