I understood what you meant stardustfairy I know what you're saying. J/C is fresher to what we're used to usually seeing. Its human bonding from a different perspective but the audience can still identify with it like you said that people love animals (I love & regard my cat as family). Instead of the usual tv shows where they got the kids kissing from the get-go & etc (I'm hoping) J/C's focus will be an emotional bonding without having it be ruined by the physical, though I know some peeps after seeing ep8 want that to happen, & I think it's now in the realm of possibilites.
Alteast we're not gonna get love triangles, teen pregnancies, weddings & cheating in this series..........well I hope not, just give me alot of action, angst & machines ;D

lol. I think stuff like kissing and affectionate glances and stuff would be pretty awesome, but that's just me. Thankfully, I don't think this show is anywhere near One Tree Hill-standards Since it's a pretty action-packed and arc driven show there's no real chance of the show focusing that intensely on relationships since there are always things going on that counter-balance it. Although I'm probably alone with wanting this whole Derek/Cameron/John love triangle thing, or at least hinted Man, I live for hints and subtext and what not

Found it extremely interesting to see the whole approach of the T-88 with a wife and John and Cameron's reaction to it. It's possible it could be giving John ideas, but I agree we'll just have to wait it out and see. It definitely creates a new twist for the duo. The fact that Cameron's comments about the lip contact jostled John was interesting. It also makes you wonder why she was thinking about it to begin with--data storage for future reference? Or was she giving subtle hints that she, too, has the same capabilities? Interesting that she felt the need/wish to mention it to John. Makes me wonder where that conversation would have gone if he hadn't stopped it...Hmmm...implied terminator sex was not something I was expecting this early in the game. It's intriguing to say the least.

It does make one question the limitations and capabilities of all these Terminators. How much have they upgraded since Uncle Bob and so on?

They are teasing people mercilessly with this. Don't know if they will ever cross the line. If it happens, it'll probably take a long time in development. But they are not holding back on the tension, when they made those scenes in Vick's Chip, you can't possibly tell me they didn't see how people were going to take it. And IMO John is being portrayed as having a crush on Cameron ever since the pilot, whether or not the somewhat taboo idea of it will ever be voiced more directly on the show.
I've never cared for romantic subplots, especially when they end up overtaking a show. I couldn't care less for John x "insert whatever romantic interest", but J/C is more intriguing to me. At any rate the tension/chemistry moments they have so far are interesting to watch.

No soap opera for this show, please. There's plenty of those on television already. This pairing has great possibilities of actual healthy communication, and attachment, with only hints of the physical, and tons of tension. (Believe you me, there was all sorts of tension between Cameron and John in the finale, and it was not all one-sided...then again, I'm biased.) On another note: CameronandJohn.com is a fantastic website! It's full of wonderful distractions from reality.

Thanks for the site reference.
And I agree. You don't have to fully show it, but at the same time it seems like they can build the tension and never fully go down the road entirely or they could cross the line. For all we know Future John and Cameron were an item and the entire base wasn't even aware of it.

Interesting video. It's definitely a conflicted dynamic at the moment, but there's a potential there at least.

So what do you think might happen between them in season 2? Has anything official/unofficial been said? I know the writers are supposed to be pitching stories to FOX right now...

Haven't seen anything yet, but give it time.
I look for their bond to grow closer next season. I know its a general speculation, but they can only grow closer as the series goes on.

The way drama usually works I say they'll introduce another conflict sooner or later to spice things up before John gets really chummy with Cameron. Maybe he'll find out she killed Enrique.
