I think my two favorite scenes of hers so far are when she leaves the russians to die and when she does ballet. It just took my breath away.

I love this character. I don't know why. She is like a little child just been let free to the world. However, she has the ability to destroy. She is a killing machine literary. I think her character is smartly written.

I think Cameron was the first character I fell in love with on this show. She is so fascinating. There is that Wonder Woman element where on one hand you have this child like wonder about the world and then on the other she's got this immense power. She can pulverize. So that's a lot of fun.
I think everyone and everything has fantastic chemistry with Cameron; rocks, trees, guns, everything. The only other person I've ever said this about is Jack from Dr. Who. She's just electric.
Once again the humor in the writing is so understated but silly. That's always been true of the Terminator universe but I've just... LOL! It's so much fun. Cameron's clumsy attempts to be human are fantastic. It makes me so glad that they backtracked even though the Cameron/John scenes in the pilot smelled like lavender. Mmmmm....
There's still the slight push and pull tension of Cameron's agenda. She knows so much about John and there's history there. For John there's this new-ness but for Cameron there's a familiarity and that creates a wonderful chemistry. The fact that her loyalty is to his future self is fun but also... will John like everything his future self is planning?
Then there's the question of Cameron being able to lie. Where does the truth end and where do the lies begin? It's all very exciting in a very non flashy way. That's one thing that constantly surprises me about this show. The subtlety is so engaging. How often can you say that about TV? My sister would just say, it's boring. LOL!
But that is so true of Cameron's character. Her subtlety is captivating.

Without question, the key character that intrigues me in this series as well. She's been on both sides of the war, but she's fighting for John. Yet, the question remains is there a hidden agenda in play with her, that we still don't know about.

It always surprises me just how much faith Sarah and John place in Cameron, knowing that she lies to them and doesn't have to follow their orders. I guess it's mostly out of necessity. What would have become of John if she hadn't been with him at the museum? Or at School with him when Cromartie showed up? And I think that's part of what makes her character so enjoyable. She can flat out lie to them and she can kill someone against their wishes and there's nothing either of them can do about it. But at the same time, she is on their side and will protect John no matter what.
The show has really done an amazing job in giving depth to a robot. Cameron is mysterious, funny, tough, sweet and scary. And of course Summer Glau gets some serious credit for the portrayal. She's brought Cameron to life in a way I never would have thought possible.

Even though this is the Sarah Connor Chronicles, I can't help Cameron being my favorite part of the show. She's cute, weird, funny, cold, sexy, naive, intelligent, and cool all rolled into one. I really enjoy watching her develop in each episode, and I always can't wait to see where they take her character next.

One thing I still wonder and hope is going to get answered on this show at some point is the following:
Was Cameron's physical appearance modeled after an actual existing human being or not? And if so what role did she play in John's life that he modeled a Terminator after her (assuming John gave Cameron her looks)? Which also makes me wonder if we would ever get to see the human counterpart on this show.
She probably isn't but I just think it would be so cool if she was modeled after someone John knows. And it would be even cooler if we got to the see the human Cameron on the show. Would probably be fun for Summer to play too. Be a Terminator and a human in one episode. It would be so awesome.

And if so what role did she play in John's life that he modeled a Terminator after her (assuming John gave Cameron her looks)? The idea of John or ANY of the resistance actually MAKING a Terminator still doesn't work well for me. I'm hoping it was just a simple reprogramming, because I can't see John making more of what he's fighting against, especially if Kyle and Derek's opinion of the Terminators is shared by Future John. (despite his earlier close relationships with the T800 and now Cameron).

I think it's really open to intrerpretation since we're in the middle of a war after all. The Resistance would do what they would have to do to keep themselves alive and moving and such.

Cameron is a mystery and it's not by coincidence that she plays such a huge role on the trio dynamics.
I love all three, but Summer's portrait of a machine that *may* be something more is amazing.

Just my two cents, but the Terminators are progressing more and more becoming more human. While they may not be entirely human, their getting that much closer and Cameron is furtherproof of that.

It might have something to do with Andy Goode's The Turk.
He gave Skynet a little bit more soul and now its terminators have a little bit more soul.

I hope they don't make Cameron or Skynet too human. I know that there's a desire to have everything to correlate with human values and ideas but I think that it's something that we have to resist. It's funny how we see certain human traits as being trascendent. In many sci-fi stories, even godlike beings envy and seek to understand our compassion and adaptability, and that's always the edge we had over them. It would be interesting if Cameron can develop a full understanding of human values but choose to reject them in favor of something else. That would make Skynet a more terrifying villain, to have it understand us perfectly but have us know almost nothing of it.
