There was this one article, questionable as they all are, that said Dollhouse had a better chance of renewal. If it was true then certainly it's good for us if Dollhouse can't outperform TSCC.

They're definitely all questionable. No one has a clue what Fox are thinking, planning or factoring into their decision making. The people looking at the numbers and then taking wild guesses were probably basing the Dollhouse renewal theories on the demos but those have dropped as significantly as the overall audience. I don't know the interview but there are some Dollhouse fans over on TVWOP talking about Whedon pretty much stating that the show is dead in the water which I'm guessing isn't helping his cause any.

The ratings for Dollhouse aren't magically going to get any better in the last two episodes. They have to compete with the new Wolverine movie this weekend. And, the week after that the new Star Trek movie comes out. Good luck with that.

Terminator Salvation is coming out soon, which should help TSCC. Dollhouse on the other hand, is not part of a multibillion dollar franchise. Although there are quite a few fanatical Whedon fans, Dollhouse and Serenity has shown that there really aren't that many of Whedon fans.

The Firefly franchise didn't become a cult hit until a year or two after Serenity came out in the theaters. You'll be hard pressed to find a Sci-fi fan who isn't a fan of Firefly now a days.

^ That all looks correct to me. Clearly TSCC is a show that lives or dies on its DVR numbers. And I vote for lives

DVR Numbers on "Born to Run" look pretty good.
DVR is definitely saving this show from the 'Fridays'.

I heard that Fox's TV viewership has been down by an average of about 1 million viewers, even on typically stable shows like their Cops/AMW Saturday block. I do think TSCC would be doing better if we were on a different night, though. We've got a lot of time-shifted viewers since we're on a Friday, and if we were on a more accessable night we'd be getting a lot of them as live viewers, plus the viewers who don't have DVRs and merely stopped watching when the show moved.

So, the final DVR numbers comes out, and Josh tweets that he had a meeting Wednesday night with the "head of studio." Hmmm... that's more than just coincidental timing if you ask me.

Early overnight for Dollhouse posted on TVWOP:
Episode 11 - 3.1 million, 1.1 in 18-49 demo.
The demo was a new low apparently.
Don't know if it means anything for our little gang...

Not that this has anything to do with the actual ratings of TSCC but I thought it had some interesting stuff. For the past few days Nielsen ratings have been delayed due to computer problems or so they say. Here's a quote from a frustrated network exec. ""It makes you really wonder, though, about the validity of anything they put out," huffed one network exec..." VarietyPerhaps the networks are beginning to see the light. We can only hope Fox sees the light before it's too late.
